I am "hoping" to get to Wallyworld this next week, but will see how it goes. Hubby keeps asking for certain things, and I keep saying "Well..havne't been able to get out and GET it at Walmart!" It was 63 yesterday and now it's 30 with high winds..windchill of 16 but gusts to 50 mph at least so am sure at times lower than that. Wow!! What a temp drop!!

Did you have tornadoes over there last night? Daughter in Bloomington said they had a tornado watch going on when I talked to her yesterday. We had one as well when the system got here but only rotation we seen on map was over near Rochester IN..about 40 min east of us here. Don't know if one formed etc but was showing definate rotation on the map.

Stay warm and safe there!! 2|2|Uggh, not so much a "yay" here this morning :( If the sun comes out later and melts this ice, I can go...right now there's a sheet of ice on everything from the rain last night and the sudden temp drops and wind....|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|07:40:17|12/28/2008|

Gosh, Kathy! You and I had the same weather! And we were able to go my mom's for our Cmas with her yesterday, we got home a mere hour before the temps plummeted and the wind whipped up.....2 hours after we got home it was all ice. Looks like WM will be out again today, I drive rural and country roads to get to WM, and those wont be salted (from previous experience so far this winter, the salt budget is in the toilet here in IL and in our county).

My mom lives about an hour and a half north east of Bloomington, and we did hear a siren while we were there yesterday, early afternoon it went off...she lives in a mobile home, so the kids had no idea what to do. No tornadoes, but they must have spotted a funnel cloud somewhere nearby...

I hope your nurses are able to get out to you today!

nasty weather! Bummer. :( We live on a dirt road here, so there are some puddles from the rain that are frozen but I don't know how the main roads are. Hubby is going this afternoon to pick up his Grammy and take her over to her house for a bit so will find out later about them from him. I am sooo wanting to get out of the house..just to get out..period. Can't even imagine what Donna is going thru with all that snow! I got her pics...was wondering how they even got out the door with all that stuff and more to come this week. *shaking head*

Hang in there Joy! Spring has GOT to be around the corner here soon. Keeping fingers crossed on that!!! 4|4|I put my head down and went anyway, lol.....I had to poke along in a few spots, but nearly as bad as I thought it would be given how it looked outside on our street and porches....whew! What a load off my mind....and I wont have to listen to two teen boys gripe there's nothing to eat for the next week while they are home from school, lolol|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|12:08:01|12/28/2008|

We went to visit a church, and went to Walmart in Pontiac today. We really did not get cold enough for the rain to freeze over, I am so glad. I am hoping for no more of that. We were out and about yesterday, and it sure was windy.

Glad you were able to get out, I was that way the week before Christmas. The weather just would not work with me.

I find myself in shock these days, just cooking for two, plus the little one who eats like a bird. I never would leave candy in the candy jar, or cookies in the cookie jar, because they would wipe it out so fast.
