Hi everyone,
I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas. I've been on and offline cause I haven't felt so well. Hopefully I will catch up in the next few days. We had a wonderful Christmas (a HUGE Thank you to all the Christmas Angels and friends in our life that sent wonderful presents). My ex brought up my 16 year old to stay with us for the holidays, it's been great having him here. Right now Will and the kids are outside at the basketball courts, it's so nice here today and to me it's warm, I'm in shorts and t-shirt. I've had some issues with some of my family, so that is part of the reason I haven't felt well this past week. Anyways I hope you all are doing well. Hugs, Rebekka

Sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well, but I'm so glad to hear your family had a nice Christmas.
We had a great Christmas .....it was especially nice because the grandkids stayed with us Sun, Mom and Tues. We were able to do all the fun Chritstmasey things with them....build a gingerbread house, cut out and decorate sugar cookies, go to see Santa, read Christmas stories and sing Christmas songs and Watch Cmas shows.
The only bad part of my holiday was that I got sick on Christmas Eve and couldn't finish my shopping. But my dh finished all my shopping (groceries and presents) and he even prepared the whole Christmas dinner and cleaned up too. That was a present I won't forget for a while.

Anyway, good to see you back online and I hope those family issues go away, so you can get to feeling better.

Wow it sounds like you had a fantastic Christmas. Your hubby sounds like Will, he's always so helpful with cooking and errands. I'm so glad you had such a wonderful time with your grandchildren. One of these days I'll be a grandma, I keep telling my oldest I guess I'll have to wait til I'm 80. LOL.
I'm just going to probably have to cut ties with some family members, I've prayed about it and thought about it and the only way to get rid of the stress is to just not have any communications with them anymore. It's sad to say, but it's for the best. Hugs, Rebekka

The reason it was so amazing that dh pitched in and helped is because he very seldoms cooks, cleans up or does errands. In the warm weather he will grill out, but that's about it. I was really in shock, he did tell me that he was afraid I was still contagious and I would contaminate his food.....lol What ever, I was just glad to have a day off. Having the grandkids visit is a lot of fun...but so exhausting.

I have to agree with you about staying away from family members that cause you stress. Thing is...you're not going to change them............so all you can do is change your interaction with them.
