My boys got me a pair of sterling silver earrings (I have to have nickel free, and they actually remembered that!).....why do I love them?
They are a fleur-de-lis, which is the symbol for the New Orleans Saints football team...now, my boys knew that of course, but they also know that my username is saint...so they thought they'd be perfect for me...they were right! I love that they actually pay enough attention to me that they know my username! :D

It's so nice when your kids actaully put some thought into what they get you : )
I had a major Christmas surprise this year...............my dh who ususally watches tv and dozes while I spend all day cooking.....made the enire meal himself (ham, scalloped potatoes, dev eggs, baked mac and cheese, and green bean casserole) and it was good, and he cleaned everything up.
He actually had good motivation for doing all the work though....I got sick on Christmas Eve morn with a stomach bug and couldn't get off the couch all day. He was afraid I might still be contagious on Christmas Day, even though I felt better, he didn't want to let me handle the food for fear that he would catch the stomach bug.
Since I couldn't go out on Christmas Eve to finish some last minute shopping he even had to go out and do that (he even had to pick up a present for himself...lol)
I am still in shock that he stepped right up to take over and didn't moan and graoan about it.
My other favorite present was a picture of my ds, dil and gd (4) and gs (2). I have been wanting a pic of the 4 of them since gs was born, but everytime we take one someone has their eyes closed, looks goofy. etc. I was sooo happy to get a good pic of all of them. They also got me a digital picture frame so "the papparazi" as they call me can have access of my pics more easily.

They say you can tell how a man will treat his gf or wife by how he treats his mom. I believe it's a pretty good guide to go by.
And those girls will hopefully be smart enough to realize & appreciate a good man when they find him. ;)
