I had Sabrina's christmas presents in the garage for the past 2 weeks, wrapped and ready to put under the tree. They were out there because there was no place in the house for them. I went out at 6 am this morning to get them and put them under the tree and they were gone, some one broke into our garage and the neighbors garage sometime last night. I managed to get her 8 gifts from transferring my fathers subscriptions and now she didn't get anything because of some a-hole. I am so mad and beside myself right now I don't know what to do. She did get gifts from you Nana but nothing from Santa, she thinks he thought she was a bad girl and that is why she got nothing. I am going to have to tell her sometime today what really happened, just don't know how. I can't believe people can be so low!! This has broken both our hearts today. We are still taking her to see Marley and Me this afternoon but that doesn't make up for no gifts from Santa. Any ideas on what I can say to her to make her feel better? Trying to get her to believe that Santa just by passed her and will bring gifts at a later date, only thing is we won't be able to afford much until income tax time. Any suggestions would be really appreciated. I sure hope everyone else was able to have a good Christmas and be able to enjoy they day. We plan on making the movie the best fun we can, only I know it is a sad movie at the end so I hope that doesn't effect her to much. I can't win for loosing nowadays. Oh well, at least I have a ham in the over for dinner later today!!

Not rich but want to help. This is terrible. Let her know that Santa is running late & all her present's will be there in just a few days. I'm sure there are many on here that will help by sending a gift or something. Send address & age & what she was hoping for & hopefully I can help. My daughter & her kids live with us & she has no income, we were so blessed this year & people were so kind to our grandsons, this would be a way for me to pay it back.

Give me your email addy, I will send a Walmart giftcard to your email and you can take it to the store tomorrow and get her something, just tell her that Santa ran out of what she wanted and sent you an email to go to Walmart and get it, hope this will help, I feel so bad for your family and hope they catch who did this, Nancy

I want to thank everyone for wanting to send something to Sabrina. You do not know how much that means to use, you guys truly are angels!! We had a friend call her up and pretend to be Santa and explained that he could not find our house last night because we forgot to turn the tree lights on and that he will be sending her some gifts through the mail over the next week or so and for her to watch for them. She loves getting mail so this will keep her busy watching for the mailman every day. We did take her to see Marley and Me and it was a great great movie. Hubby was checking out the garage and saw that our gas weed wacker and a few of his small power and hand tools were taking also. We did not want to tell her that someone broke in the garage because she would be scared all the time from now on. When I 1st read your OP earlier today, I was thinking you could've told her that Santa DID remember her & HAD left presents for her (you seen them when you awoke in the night after hearing the reindeer on the roof?) but that unfortunately, someone "mistakenly" thought the presents were left for them so took them by accident & that you're hoping to find the person to correct the "mistake". It would've bought you some time to replace the stolen gifts (or the long shot of getting them back) while still telling her the truth - just a softer, variated version of the truth so as not to frighten her yet soothing her sadness so she didn't think Santa forgot her, kwim? :)
I hope the dirty thief is caught & he should have to spend Christmas Eve in jail for the next few yrs. (if Sabrina is 6 then every Christmas Eve for the next 6 yrs.) as a reminder of what he did!

I can't express how much it means to me to receive your emails with your kind words and wanting to send something to my daughter. It's amazing that people even though we have "known" each other for years from this board would help out someone that they have never even met. I just love my little girl so much and the joy that I will receive from watching her face and seeing her excitement when she receives her gifts in the mail from you guys, well I just can't explain what it is going to do to her and I. Again I want to thank each and everyone of you from the bottom of my heart and I hope that in the months to come things turn around for us here at home so that I can do alot of good deeds for others on this board. but something tells me that my other neighbor may be behind this, but have no proof. We live in a nice quiet neighbor and never have any problems. Last June my neighbor who would come over a few times a week and talk and hang out with my husband, well one evening him and hubby went to the gas stations for beer and cigarretts. Hubby brought everything in the house but left a pack of cigs in the middle console. The next morning I went to the store and the lid of the console was up and looked like it had been rummaged through, I thought nothing of it just thought my hubby was looking for something. Later that day he asks me to go and get the cigs out of the car which I told him there wasn't any in there because I drove the car that morning. He insisted there was and went and looked for them. Went I told him about the lid being up that morning he said that he would bet the neighbor went into the car after we went to bed and took the cigs but didn't take anything else. Since then the neighbor never comes over and rarely do you see him outside. When I ask his wife about him she says he is embarrassed because they were having marrital problems and facing foreclosure on there home and that was why he didn't come around anyone. Just makes him look guilty to us and we do honestly believe he took the cigs. They have 4 kids so who's to say he wasn't the one who went into the garage. I will be watching when the kids are out playing in nice weather to see if they have any of the items that were taken to see if I might be right. Almost 5 years living here and no problems until that incident and this one. The one who's garage was broken into had nothing stolen that they can tell. we have a neighbor like that too. No one has ever caught him but where we live, it's pretty obvious who takes things. No one ever comes down our road. We have had to set up a PO because of it and can never mail our bills from home anymore. I wish I could help.
