The national weather service has issued a storm watch for us here in northern Indiana for tomorrow afternoon thru Wed day. We are in the area to get up to 1/4 inch ice...again. Please say prayers everyone that we get either snow or rain..not the freezing stuff. My nerves are frazzled to say the least to have just gotten past the first ice storm and kept power for daughter on vent here ..and now here we go again. Hubby's Grammy still doesn't have any electric at her home about 20 min north of us. At this rate she won't have it till sometime in the spring! from tonight thru tomorrow afternoon. Jiminy Crickets! LOL Is the whole northern half of the U.S. gettin it this year or what??? LOL We're already about nose to nose w/beating the old record of the snowiest Dec. which is 30.5". Since there's more snow predicted EVERY day this week, except Christmas Day, I'd say we're easily going to surpass that old record. LOL At least it's supposed to warm up a bit, to about 20° or so, so it won't be so bitterly cold..... And thank God for snowblowers! LOLOL

a small generator would do us no good. We have to have a very large one as unless it would power the house for heat, lights, daughter's vent and equipment we would still have to evacuate to the local hospital or such where there is all of that for us.
I have been seriously thinking of writing Make a Wish to see if they could possibly get one for us somehow. It's not like we live in a city..we are in the middle of 'nowhere' out here so it's much needed for daughter's life. Literally. If anyone has any other ideas on who could help us get one of these please do post or email me. Would appreciate it. We are in no position financially to come up with monies for it ourselves..hubby is the only full time job outside the house here of course.

There's a toll-free number on this site so even if there's no local chapter in your area, they may know of & be able to direct you to someone who can help. Sometimes you have to go thru a few "wrong" numbers in order to finally get to the right one, kwim?
Since alot of groups/clubs like this are scattered all over the U.S., they're usually very good about knowing the appropriate contact people/places for other areas.
