....I've been TELLING my husband that he needed to salt the driveway! We had a big ice storm here and the driveway's got probably at LEAST an inch solid, in places. Tonight my sons & I had gone for a quick trip to Walgreens. We got back and had to park outside in the driveway as hubby was doing something to another car, inside the garage, in my bay. Ugh....I start walking to the garage and I'm telling myself "he NEEDS to salt this, it's SOOOO slippery, someone's gonna kill themselves out here!", and then down I go. Hard. I hurt all over still, and this was about an hr. and a half ago.
My sons helped me up, bless their hearts, and Ron comes out to the garage and I admit I kinda snarled at him (I was hurt!~~and mad at this point!) that he SHOULD have salted that driveway~~that if he doesn't and SOON, someone ELSE is gonna get hurt!!!! He goes inside and gets on the computer and checks his email, surfs around, etc., then goes to the bathroom for 20 minutes, etc. I came into the office and said, ummm, are you going to go get some salt TONIGHT?! He said, "well, YOU don't usually walk out there".....excuse me?! Who does he think brings out the garbage cans/recycling bins each week and the mail up daily?!?! I said, I fell HARD, Ron, and I hurt all over...he said, where, show me where you got hurt.
Meanwhile, his sister calls and says her furnace went out and asks to borrow a couple of space heaters. Guess what? He jumped up, got his coat on and is over there now, delivering them. Now, I love his sister and I certainly don't begrudge her those heaters; it's COLD here this week!!
I am just so hurt by his lack of concern for ME, his wife.

I am so sorry you fell girlie, I can imagine the pain. One time when I was working at Walmart, I was on my way into the building and I slipped and fell so hard on the ice, I was in pain for days and so miserable. I hope you feel better soon. Also am sorry Ron is being a "butt-head* about salting the drive-way etc and for not being more concerned with you. Hugs, Rebekka

..I am still sore this morning; my neck and my lower back hurt. It's snowing again this morning here, coming down fairly good. My son's and I were *supposed* to go into Ft. Wayne this morning as I have a couple things to finish up for C'mas, but I think I'm going to tell them it's not a good idea to be out in this.
My car handles terribly in the snow (Prius) and the LAST thing I need is some kind of car accident/fender-bender, ya know?!
