If you have a trustworthy neighbor close by maybe they'd let you "stash" it there for the few days til Christmas.....

Can you cover it up and make up some sort of a story about how a friend/neighbor asked you to store it until Christmas? You could act a bit annoyed about all of it to be more convincing (like "can you imagine, she asked me and I couldn't really say no, but WE don't have the room to store such a huge thing.") Then just have it all covered up really tightly so that it wouldn't be easy for him to peek and hopefully that would work? Maybe under a big tarp with duct tape to secure it? And then all you need is a big red bow. He'll love it!

Well I got the neighbor to put it in his garage the only problem is they didn't have one at the store or any other local HD either so we have to order it but now I have to pay shipping which is another 50 something bucks
Thanks for all the ideas
