hysterectomy? In all that has been going on my reg Dr has come to the conclusion that it is my cycles that are causing my iron levels to keep going down 6.2 the day after Thanksgiving and then after 4 units it went up to 11.2 the thurs afterwards Since I have been home I have had one cycle ( the worst ever) and today my level was back down to 7.2 :( He thinks that it is time to have one he told me to call the other Dr on Monday and if I have trouble getting in to call him and he'll get me in So do they put you on hormones afterwards? How does haveing one effect things? Thanks for any info you can give me Email me if you don't want to post 1|1|Check your email :)|Skaytes|skaytez@gmail.com|17:49:52|12/20/2008|

I have an enlarged uterus, which makes it even worse. The doctor wanted me to try an ablation, or have every thing taken out. I started reading up on taking forms of progesterone. I started taking prometrium, oral form, and it has worked like magic for me. I am now using a cream form, that is suppose to be even more natural, but it is costing me more. My pain is even gone and no more iron issues. Trying to hold on to all my parts as long as possible.
I encourage you to do a lot of research before you decide anything.

mine was vaginal! 8|3|I agree with that - No more "visits" made it worth it for me.. Kimberly Clark raked in the $$ on me every month.. LOL |car_mont|car_mont@hotmail.com|09:51:47|12/22/2008|
Agree - The best thing I ever done - as Ang said.

they tried doing mine that way, yet my "Mass" was too large (fibroids).
They went ahead and cut me a bikini line incision.

I only had my uterus removed, so I never experienced any hormonal issues. After the recovery which took several weeks, I have never, not even for one minute, regretting having that done. I was only 28 at the time, I had three kids and a prolapsed uterus that was causing me pain.
