bracing for the 2nd round to come. here is the weather alert will copy and paste here below. It doesn't say that we are going to get snow, but they are saying THAT is to come about as well and most every day next week too. Yuck. :( Hubby's Grammy still is without power and have seen power trucks up and down the roads here all day long. Hubby's dad just got power back on earlier this morning as well. Trees are still very ice covered so with wind and that cold..they will be snapping off like crazy tomorrow am sure. :( Keep us in your prayers still..it's not over yet unfortunately...

THE WIND CHILL ADVISORY IS NOW IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM EST /8 AM CST/ SUNDAY TO 1 PM EST /12 PM CST/ MONDAY.

A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL BLAST INTO THE REGION OVERNIGHT AND INTO SUNDAY MORNING...BRINGING A SHOT OF BITTERLY COLD ARCTIC AIR. BY MID MORNING ON SUNDAY...TEMPERATURES WILL BE IN THE SINGLE DIGITS ABOVE ZERO AND WIND CHILLS WILL BE DROPPING TO BETWEEN 10 BELOW ZERO AND 15 BELOW ZERO.

OVERNIGHT LOWS SUNDAY NIGHT AWAY FROM LAKE MICHIGAN WILL RANGE FROM ZERO TO POSSIBLY AS COLD AS 5 BELOW ZERO. THIS COMBINED WITH WINDS OF 15 TO 25 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS WILL ALLOW FOR WIND CHILLS OF 15 BELOW ZERO TO NEAR 25 BELOW ZERO.

THE STRONG WINDS ON SUNDAY WILL ALSO CREATE HAVOC WITH TREES AND POWER LINES ALREADY COVERED WITH ICE OR WEAKENED BY THE RECENT ICE STORM. WIND GUSTS TO AROUND 40 MPH WILL LIKELY BRING DOWN ADDITIONAL TREE LIMBS AND COULD CAUSE SOME TREES AND POWER LINES TO FAIL AS WELL. 2|2|More prayers are definitely in order.....sending up now....is Grandma ok with no power? Does she have an alternate heat source, like a fireplace? I worry about the elderly in these conditions.....|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|18:23:38|12/20/2008|

Grammy was just using her gas kitchen stove burners to keep some heat in the house and a few big candles. Scary as I kept wondering if she would fall asleep and forget to turn them off. :( Still no heat in her house so for tonight/tomorrow she FINALLY agreed to go to her son's home since the temps were to be so very frigid and all. We are sooo thankfull she did because I don't think she would have made it with out leaving the house.
I hear you..all those people who are elderly or handicapped and have no one to take care/help them or somewhere to go...really is sad and scarey... :( 4|4|I am so relieved to know she finally left her house though.....all these days later, it would have to be freezing in there! |saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|19:33:29|12/20/2008|

I know how stubborn some elderly people are and they just hate to leave their homes, still saying prayers for some good weather to come your way
