we are getting a bad ice storm here right now. Lights are flickering. If you could say a prayer that we don't lose power we sure would appreciate it. We have a daughter on a ventilator here at home (no generator) so we will 'somehow' have to evacuate to the local hospital if we lose power. Can't be with out heat or power to run her equipment for her.

we're in CC, all the CC & Ft. Wayne schools are closed. The rain is pouring here and roads are sheets of ice, as you say. I'll pray that your household does not lose power, wouldn't want you traveling in weather like this!!!
My dh's work called him @ 5:30 this morning and asked him to get over there and open up by 6, because the boss or whoever started out for work and turned right back around within minutes---it's THAT bad out here!!! I was sooooo ticked that they expect him and everyone else to show up, and not only that, they wanted him to RUSH over there in these conditions!! He called me as soon as he arrived, so I'd know he made it safely.
Stay warm and hope all goes well. You're in my prayers.

We had alot of flickering of lights but they stayed on. THANK YOU ALL!!!! My daughter on vent's day nurse called and of course she couldn't come in today with this nasty stuff (NO one one the road till late in day and then only the adventurous..or dumb..depending how you looked at it! *wink*) and when she called this morning, they had been out of power since 5 a.m. and they live in town. We live waaay out in the boonies here.
Now bracing for the 2nd round they say is coming tomorrow I guess..lots of snow on top of the ice. oh yippee. Everyone stay safe and warm out there and thanks SOOO much for the prayers!! Might be asking for them again if it gets too bad with the snow. MAN!..wish we had a big generator! **SAnta?..are you listening?! LOL)

the electric on for those without it here as well. Hubby's mom called and his 86yr old Grammy is still without power since this morning..won't leave her house of course. Not a good thing with temps to drop down to around 19 tonight not counting wind chill. Please pray the electric comes on and nothing happens to her..she is soo very sweet.
