Last year I bought the Garmin nuvi 660 and I am very pleased with it. It was over $350 (on sale) last year but now selling for about $250 or less. It gives you a verbal warning before you get to the street/location where you want to turn and then verbal command to turn once you reach that spot. The best thing about a GPS is if you get lost you can always hit HOME and it will take you there. I can't imagine not having one now.

I've tried a few and Garmin seems to be the best.
