I get to work about 7:00-7:15 each day and leave about 5:30 most days. I was at work yesterday until almost 7:00. I do try to leave before 5:00 at least one day a week and I do work and occaisional Saturday. Oh, and I get no overtime pay. 4|2|that's along day....and you don't get any overtime??? are you on salary????|kellysp6637|frugalk76@aol.com|21:04:28|12/17/2008|

The only reason I like to stay late is wait and make sure my 2nd shift employees show up for work and get to work when they arrive. 2|1|Gotta love those govt jobs, lol. At least you'll have a fat paycheck to look forward to :)|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|20:45:05|12/17/2008|

my situation in last job was. I was at my last job for a dozen years (they took it out of the country finally) and during that time we ALWAYS had mandatory overtime. Working double shifts or more and 7 days a week was the 'norm'. Often we would go a month or better without a day off. No exceptions. Even had to work some major holidays if they mandated.
One of those situations where even though you are tired etc you can always find someone else that is/was worse off. Paychecks are good though so that is something to look forward to. Bank it if you can..never know when there won't 'be' a job etc. these days...
