What can you tell me to better help me deal with this impetigo i seem to have managed to get all over my face. They have me on Cleocin 900 mg a day and i have bactorban to apply topicly. But its still draining and buring and itching and its driving me crazy!!!!! How can i get it to dry up quicker and stop draining??? Also is there anything i can do for the burning sensation?

Thanks :)

1|1|I dont know what else to recommend....but if you arent seeing improvement by Monday, you should call your doc again to let him know...sorry you are suffering with it, try to hang in there :)|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|09:00:00|12/13/2008|

I have already been to the doctor twice this week over this once on Wednesay and again on Friday. They gave me a shot of antibiotics Friday and switched me to a stroger one then i was taking so i really hope that it helps and soon. You have no idea (well unless you have had impetigo on your face) how painful and just annoying this it. I dont want to leave my house because i look horrible and when i absolutley have to you can imagine the looks i get.

Oh yeah one more question, Is it better to leave it uncovered or can i cover it?

Thanks

3|3|I thought it is supposed to be uncovered so air hits it and it dries out faster...|Kristy|mi3zons1@yahoo.com|09:07:16|12/13/2008|

Im trying to keep the oozing contained so that it does not spread any further. Leaving uncovered wouldnt be a problem if it would actually dry up. I know im whinning like a big ole baby but it sucks, lol

5|5|I agree with Kristy...leave it open to air...if you have to go out, you could cover it for a short time (loosely) just to avoid public stares, lol. |saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|09:19:53|12/13/2008|
