This letter really touched me and seen it come thru our local Free cycle. Having 2 special needs at home and having been thru the gov't doing this with the their check, I know this definately happens. It was typed in caps so don't be offended by them as I am copying and pasting it here exactly as it was written except I omited the phone numbers and address for sake of safety. This town is where I go to Walmart, kmart, ..all my out of town shopping. Not a very big town at all.

HEY IM JAMES GARBISON 19 YRS. OF LAPAZ , INDIANA AND I'M WRITING THIS LETTER TO YOU BECAUSE MY OLDEST SISTER SAVANNAH OF PLYMOUTH , INDIANA IS STRUGGLING VERY BAD TO MAKE CHRISTMAS HAPPEN FOR MY NIECE 1 YRS. AND NEPHEW 4 YRS. IT ALL STARTED WITH THEM GETTING OVER PAYED FROM SOCIAL SECURITY TO MY NEPHEW BECAUSE OF HIS DISABILITY. HE WAS BORN WITH A CLEFF LIP IMPALMENT WHICH IS BASICALLY WHERE THE LIP ISN'T THERE HOWEVER HE HAS HAS SURGERY TO CORRECT IT BUT HES HAVING MORE
SURGURYS WHEN HE GETS OLDER . WHILE EVERYONE ELSE IS EXCITED ABOUT CHRISTMAS THIS YEAR. MY SISTER HOWEVER IS COMPLETELY THE OPPOSITE SHE IS DEPRESSED AND IT KILLS ME TO SEE IT. I WENT TO HER HOUSE YESTERDAY AND SAW A TREE WITH NOTHING UNDER IT BECAUSE THEY CAN'T AFFORD ANYTHING THIS YEAR BECAUSE SOCIAL SECURITY OUT OF ALL THE TIMES THEY COULD TAKE IT AWAY THEY TOOK IT ON CHRISTMAS AND HER HUSBAND GREG BALLINGER IS GETTING GARNISHED BECAUSE OF A CASE WORKERS MISTAKE. I
PERSONALLY DO NOT THINK THAT IS VERY FAIR AT ALL. WHICH LEAVES THEM $20.00 TO BUY GROCERIES AND DIAPERS AND OTHER GOODS WITH. SO WHAT I'M REALLY HOPING IS THAT YOU GUYS CAN HELP BRING MY SISTER BACK THE REAL SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS WHICH IS GIVING AND HAVING A REALLY GOOD TIME WITH YOUR FAMILY. HOWEVER ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING WOULD HELP FOOD CLOTHES TOYS

They over payed me and I did'nt notice it as the increments were spread out over the soc security checks I received when my husband passed away. Then they wanted the 2,000 sum that was added up over the years all in one lump sum..I fought it and wrote a letter saying it was unfair that because of their error, i would have to go without checks for 4 months to repay back the balance owed..They finally dropped it, as I wrote I was a single mom, raising a child without a father that he would never know or remember.
Wishing them the best this holiday season..wish I could help but am all tapped out, helped 2 members here with x-mas and the little money I have left I need to buy presents for my 2 nieces and my nephew..

I'm so impressed by his concern. I am sure the people on freecycle will help out? Or at least I hope. We all did the angels and are tapped out I think
and honestly I wished I could do more for mine, kwim? Just like I wish I had more to help here...
