a snow hurricane! They are calling it a meterological bomb. They are predicting 11 inches in the valley. We could get twice that here in the mountains. Right now we are in such a deep fog that the dogs are coming in soaked when they go out. The real fun is supposed to start later this morning. Here's a quote from the local news:
A deepening low-pressure system migrating from Alaska was expected to park itself off the coast Friday, triggering a succession of snow, rain, wind, drizzle, freezing drizzle, more snow and arctic winds roughly in that order through Sunday.
Its a bomb, forecaster John Livingston said. Its a rapidly deepening system, very vigorous.

Then blowing and drifting and plummeting temperatures. We have about 4" right now and it's has really tapered off (the calm before the BIG storm). It would be fine if I didn't have to go anywhere, but I have to drive my son into town around 9pm tonight and pick him up at 7am tomorrow morning. UGH! It's a LONNNNNGGGG drive in this weather! I'm scared but it has to be done.

we only got about 6" but man, it sure is cold and is going to get colder. The wind is blowing right now so the snow we do have is drifting. Wind chill factor is about -10 but is supposed to get even colder tomorrow. -27 or so. Like I'd even notice the difference between -10 and -27! HA! So far we haven't lost power which is a blessing. Hope it stays that way!
