PAYPAL, CASH OR STAMPS ACCEPTED
Send me your RS name when you reply

It is expensive, $12 to $14 for a small tube but it works right away.
3|1|I use Carmex at the very first sign of a cold sore....but I havent ever had a full blown one, so I dont know if it would be effective once it erupts or not.|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|17:50:45|12/07/2008|

put a little in the palm of your hand and put a few drops of water to make a paste then dab it on, it burns at first but it does seem to help, not sure why it helps I was thnking it was drawing the infection out like it does for bee stings Linda 5|1|Thanks.........|rainj|jrainshgp@centurytel.net|18:18:05|12/07/2008|

essential oil mixed with Vaseline Petroleum Jelly, or a creamy lip balm..when I use the lavender it is dried up and healed completly gone in 2 days.

7|1|I use Zovirax as soon as I feel that very 1st tingle ...it's a prescription, but works really well and fast, and I think it was much less expensive than Abreva (per unit cost)...AND taking Lysine every day definitely lessens the # of breakouts...|emerald9|brandaseider@yahoo.com|20:06:35|12/07/2008|

and she put ice on it as soon as she felt the first tingle that she was getting one. and she kept it it on and off for an hour and then brewed a tea bag and put it on for about 30 minutes and she kept repeating the tea bag off and own during the day and it worked wonders the ice keeps it from spreading and the tea bags helps keep it from popping up and gets rid of whats already there. she already had one and felt another one coming up on the other side and she did the ice tea bag thingee and the one she had shrunk and went away and the little blisters that started coming up on the other side never popped up.

9|1|Well i think they are finally starting to get a little better.........|rainj|jrainshgp@centurytel.net|10:48:27|12/08/2008|

Of course i didnt know anything about these when i first got them because i have never had one before. But i started taking Lysine about 3 days ago and yesterday i was putting ice and a tea bag on it every other hour alternating. Of course they are already fully broke out so its going to take a little more time to get rid of them but now i know what to do next time if i ever get another one which i hope i wont

Thanks for all the input :)

10|1|Abreva and Herpicin L -- have had these for years|whitmarg|robin@whitmannet.com|13:27:20|12/08/2008|

Have done everything. Used to use Zovirax but got the very same results with Abreva and didn't have to get a script for it. As soon as I start to feel my lips tingle, I start with the Abreva and keep it on my headboard. In between breakouts, I only use Herpicin L as a chapstick. Any other chapstick will spark a cold sore. And don't bite your lips or pull off dead skin. Every time, without fail, that will turn into a cold sore for me. These things are viruses and just wait for an opening to explode.

..me. I've suffered from these for years, but at the very first tingle, I put Abreva on, and apply several x's a day. The Abreva cuts the length of time---most cold sores last a full wk., not so (in my experience) w/the Abreva

Well i broke down and went to the doctor yesterday as i was hurting so bad from my assumed cold sore. I was running a fever, had a constant headache and it just felt like it was on fire. Turns out that its not a cold sore at all that i somehow managed to get impentigo. They now have me on antibiotics and gave me an antibiotic cream and said it should clear up in a few days. Its still pretty sore and feels like its on fire but it does look a little better today. Wish me a speedy recovery

Had to go back to the doctor today as i woke up this morning and it is spreading over my face more :( And on top of that i had broke out in hives. They said i must be allergic to the Bactrim that they had me on and switched me to Cleocin. I have never even heard of this type of antibiotic before but it is much stronger than the last one plus they gave me a shot of antibiotics at the doctors office too. So im hoping by Monday i will be much better. My face litterally feels like it is on fire!!!! And i just down right dont feel good because of all of this not to mention that i look like a freak!!!!

Ok im done griping for now, lol

eat a lot of yogurt, since you are on a strong med. I think I would have rather dealt with cold sores.

I always take Lysine for the cold sores, and it so much reduces them, or stops them.
