scratch and is great for getting all those stains, rust etc out of cups and off pans. I always use it for the copper bottoms of my pans to get them sparkling again as well. You can even get BKF at the Family Dollar store as that is where I find it the cheapest. 9|2|I love barkeepers friend...|sunriver|lithiasalt@cheerful.com|10:59:49|12/07/2008|

I am not what anyone would call a neat freak, but when I do make myself clean something I really like how well it works. The price is right too. I think I paid just under $2 for a large container at Wal Mart and it lasts a long time. I need to power clean today because this place is just falling apart, so this was a good thread for me to read. LOL! 6|1|Try Iron Out......|maraj|maraj64@hotmail.com|07:55:53|12/07/2008|

It's a powdered bleaching agent but milder than reg. liquid bleach w/out the strong bleach fumes. Turns rust & yellow stains into a clear liquid (w/water added) that rinses away. I've used it on everything from removing yellowing/rust on white clothes to getting the rust off the chrome on bikes/chair legs/car bumper to Tonka trucks, dishes, toilets/tubs/sinks, ceilings, you name it. Works wonders! :)

7|1|For the coffee and tea stains,I just spray the cups with bleach solution, let sit about 10 mins and then wash them. Comes out of ceramic and plastic (for my DH's travel mugs) :) |saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|08:20:04|12/07/2008|

Greased Lightening a cleanser in the cleaning aisle (also good for clothes and grease, but it's strong so spot test 1st). Also, can try white vinegar and water, boil gently and try to loosen with a wooden spoon. But I find laying paper towels down, dousing with the cleanser, let sit over night and should wipe away.
