Do not be fooled by their ads. Do your interenet research on this company. They charged my card right away despite advertising a 30 day free trial. I called and after being on hold forever was told they have a no refund policy. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was basically told no, I explained that will be reporting them to the BBB, FFC, and FTC and asked again for a sup. I was put on hold and then my rep. came back on the phone and said he spoke with the sup and and a courtesy he will refund my money. They are a scam. My husband never checks the credit card statements, pays everything online...Well, When I went to shred the billion of papers on the desk I noticed three charges on the target visa card monhly for the last 2 years. It was for $29.00, $1.00 and another $1.00, all different names (Like 3 letters) but similar and in simalar areas. Finally before we left for Florida hubby called the # and spoke to someone who couldn't really explain what it was they were providing. The guy said he never cancelled the free credit report. Anyway, hubby cancelled and the guy was really rude.
Well, we got back from Florida and there were two leters in the mail. One from PC Richards and one from Disney saying they closed my hubbys account. The PC Richards and Disney we only use at Christmas and pay the balance in full. Over $2000 credit line at each store. Hubby called both companies and was told that the credit agency said my husband is too high of a risk and to cancel his credit. They told us the date and time they were contacted and it was about 20 minutes after my husband cancelled the free credit report thing.
We are now contacting the BBB and I will see where to go from there. Coincidence? I don't think so..We have almost perfect credit. When my husband asked if it was legal to do that we were told the agency has every right to let the companies know of a risk. What was the risk? We weren't paying them over $20 a month anymore....
