I'm taking the parts out of the bottom of my dishwasher to clean and... YUCKO! How do you get all this yucky sticky gooey stuff off of the plastic parts? Baking soda solution?

Thanks!
Jessica

1|1|Try soaking in vinegar for a bit....then use an old soft toothbrush to scrub at them. :)|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|11:39:00|11/30/2008|

ETA: you can use straight vinegar for the really dirty stuff, and use a vinegar/water solution for normal dirty stuff :)

There is a dishwasher cleaner at WalMart - I think it is called Dishwasher Magic - not sure though. It is in a little box and you just unscrew the lid on the little bottle and put it upside down in an empty dishwasher and run it through the cleaning cycle. I used it once and it did an amazing job. I think it was about $3 to $4 though.
