I just about dropped over when I seen that price at my local IGA yesterday morning. :( Fortunately, I was able to get a 1/2 gal. of Tropicana OJ for $2.77.
The manager there is such a scalper it's not even funny. Earlier this week & all the week before it was advertised on the outside billboard that fresh turkey was 49¢/lb. w/a $50 purchase. Not a bad deal if you have to shop for other things too (& believe me, it doesn't take long to spend $50 at that store!). I noticed yesterday morning he'd jacked that up to 99¢/lb. w/$50 purchase, no doubt hoping to make a killing off of last-minute shoppers.
And then there was the price on MM OJ... :(
Supposedly, all these higher prices on groceries & other merchandise was due to the higher gas prices. Ok, gas is now less than half of what it had been, so how come groceries, etc. are still so high????
