0|0|my dad will be in the hospital for thanksgiving...(M)|kthy26|kthy26@yahoo.com|18:19:31|11/26/2008|<center><font size="1" color="#000099" class="f_postedon">Posted on Nov-26-08 at 06:19 PM (Eastern) by 68.30.235.42</font></center><p>My dad was put in the hospital monday night for cellulitus(sp) in his right hand and arm well when they did blood work it showed he has merca (i'm sure that is not correct spelling either) well they started giving him antibiotic through and iv and now last night he had an allergic reaction to the meds so they are having to change that to give him something else. my husband and son and i had planned to travel to tenn to my inlaws for thanksgiving well with my dad being in the hospital i had decided i would stay home and they could go to tenn without me well my husband said no and my dad insisted on us going on and going not to ruin our plans because of him so i had a tough decision to make so i decided we would come to tenn however now i feel very guilty that i am down here and he was hopeing to get to go home today but with the reaction he has to stay until friday so he is in there for thanksgiving and now like i said i feel very guilty for leaving him.<P>sorry for the "vent" thanks for listening<P>happy thanksgiving everyone<BR>Kathy
1|1|Sorry to hear that your dad is ill :(   The IV antibiotics should get him fixed up soon, try to enjoy your time with family for the holiday....the infection I believe you are talking about is MRSA (pronounced mersa).
