ya know, people who have a fee based paypal account noeed to do one of 2 things.......... either post these extra charges in their posts OR eat them.

i just rcvd a trade and the "fee's" based with this trade were .82 ON TOP of postage and handling fee's for the items ordered.

that is REDICULOUS!

and NO WHERE in the post did it say ANYTHING about fee's being added, but since i had previously traded with this person i knew he added a .30 fee for paypal expenses, i had no clue paypal recently changed their fee's to .30 PLUS 2.9% of the total as well!

i'm sorry but i REFUSE to pay YOUR fee's any longer! kwim?

if you have a fee based paypal account and you need to recoupe those fee's you need to either write it in your post OR add them to the "cost" of your items!

geez! i thought my trade was for one amount and then it turns out to be almost a dollar more. how frustrating!

thanks for the vent!

.. 2|2|What kind of PP accounts have the fees? Is it the business accounts? If so, maybe the traders could have a second, personal account so as not to accrue fees at all just to use for trades? I only have a personal account (verified), and have not encountered the fees in sending someone PP either (yet!) |saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|12:04:16|11/07/2008|

.. 4|4|Ah, ok....so if you are sending available funds to someone and get zapped with charges, it's because they have a business account, right? |saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|12:22:25|11/07/2008|

.. 6|6|I guess I'll have to keep an eye on that as far as the funds I would recieve....I always have available funds, so I wouldnt cost someone fees...and if business accts get charged fees, then I would hope traders would post upfront about that.|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|13:25:04|11/07/2008|

I know everyone has their own way of doing things, but I myself will not trade with a person if they expect me to pay their fees, I feel that it is their choice to have an account that charges, not mine and I don't feel it is my responsibility to pay their fees. The same as on large trades I put dc on them, but I do not expect the other trader to pay for that just because I want to make sure that we both know where the envie is. But that is just my opinion. 8|2|What made me sick - I refunded someone overpayment of $2.99 and Paypal charged them .09¢ of that - so they only recieved $2.90.. that is so unfair of PP.|car_mont|car_mont@hotmail.com|06:11:44|11/08/2008|

If you sell on ebay, you have to have at least a premier account to accept credit cards. A fee is incurred everytime someone sends you funds to that account, regardless of whether they are existing funds or not.

If you have paypal send you a check they charge at least $1 I am not sure if there is a fee to have money deposuted in a bank account. They limit basic accounts to withdrawing $500 month also last time I wanted to withdraw funds. I have thought about adding a nickel to trades involving paypal as I am more of a seller than a buyer and incur the fees after the fact when I try accessing the money.

I am looking for offers in concealed cash ayor ppef or make an offer in????

even if it's existing funds... so... I have a second account that doesn't incur fees and I take existing funds payments to that account only. That way I don't pay any unecessary fees! Problem is you can't have the account confirmed because if you only have one bank account, you can't link it to the bank, they won't allow it to be linked to the same bank as another account.

I use the one with the fees for ebay and the other account for my trades when I have a balance in it or need to accept existing funds for small amounts.

Keep in mind if you have an account with a debit card, you get a small percentage back for using the card as a credit card... so I try not to take anything out at the atm... I try to charge it so I get the cashback... I figure it offsets the fees a little.

Also, Ebay doesn't let you use one account or the other for ebay. I believe you have to accept credit cards on your account in order to use paypal and ebay. So you can't have some people pay to one address and others to another address.

And they do charge a small fortune! Between Ebay Fees and Paypal fees I sometimes wonder if it's worth it!
