Brought my father to the hospital this morning for an operation, and I'm typing this from the waiting room. I am very impressed. They have a separate waiting room that's not too crowded, nice seats, magazines to read, this computer to type on, and a coffee machine!

Prayers for my dad please, he's having surgery to remove a benign tumor on his face. The risks, while probably very rare, are kind of scary. Paralysis, nerve damage, etc....plus there is a possibility that the tumor is actually cancerous, although they think it's benign.

Everything seemed to go well - he was quite worried about the possibility of paralysis in his face, but he looked good when he came out of surgery.

Now he needs to get his hip replaced next! If you all recall, last summer he had a hip replaced and ended up having a heart attack at the hospital and a triple bypass! Oy! Well, now they say the other hip needs to be replaced too. It stinks getting old!

And all this on top of my mom's current fight with breast cancer and parkinson's. I'll tell you, my poor parents have had too much happen to them in the last 5 or 6 years. Any continued prayers much appreciated!

lauren 8|3|Glad his surgery went well....boy, your parents really have had a hard time, I am so sorry. I sure will keep them in my prayers, it is so hard to watch our parents get old, and even harder on them, I'm sure :(|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|09:58:34|11/07/2008|
