beleiving this is a start...the details of this whole ordeal amaze me...I was so proud of McCains acknowledgements toward the black race. He has earned my respect. What a man not to try and ignore the obvious and actually fully acknowledge it....(to ignore it would have been the elephant in the room but he still did it...God bless him!) I am so amazed at Obama...what an historical moment.... (it will be uncomfortably quiet at work today...)

is god help us all i truly pray that he does what he says he will but i really doubt it. i heard him myself say he will raise our energy costs sky high which will make our electric bills go thru the roof. he is also going to tax your 401ks, and give money to people who sit on there behinds and dont work if the people had voted for him because they really believed he would change things i could accept that but most of the blacks voted for him so they could make history and elect a black man. all ive heard since he won was civil rights and slavery.im not racist by any means i have tons of black friends but to vote for him just to change history is wrong. it was so wrong that our soldiers in iraq werent allowed to vote it could have made a big difference. i just pray for all our sakes he does what he says and helps our country not hurt it. 11|1|Heres my thoughts.......|rainj|jrainshgp@centurytel.net|09:40:52|11/05/2008|

First i didnt want to vote for either of them. I sure hope that Obama makes some good changes for our country. But honestly im scared to death about the changes he is going to make. I did want a Democrat in office just not him!! Heres what im going to do im just going to pray that he makes good choices for our country. Im am thrilled that as a country we have gotten past the black and white issue. I know its not that way everywhere. But just the fact that we have a black soon to be president is amazing for our country. I just wish i could have more faith in the man and his soon to be power.

Thats all

The only thing I added was this..

We awake today to a new day, and a new time..

Barack Hussein Obama is the next President of the United States of America..

and ONCE AGAIN NO ONE GETS TO CHOOSE HOW SOMEONE ELSE DEFINES THEM SELF racially.. It is THEIR business ALONE.
Whatever they decide, however they deal with it, is their business, and not a public issue...

Which is absolutely true!

Anyone having issues with how someone else decides to define them self racially needs to ask themselves some questions. Its not a public issue, its a personal one, and one that doesn't concern others...

That time spent arguing over nonsense could be time spent helping to heal the world...

I won't be responding again... This is far too of a historic day for the American people, and for the world, to be riddled with such mundane nonsense... Of all things, people only focusing on race today, is sad, and a reflection of the individual... Just because the media has been speaking racially for weeks on end, and last night as well, doesn't mean that race was the most important issue addressed last night..

The politics of fear, the politics of the Bush/Cheney administration and the passing of our highest office between political families and friends, has been strongly rebutted, and once again America can take its place with the rest of the world....

Looking forward to the inauguration of President Barack Obama...

This is the worst election I've ever seen (including seeing the 2 New Black Panther members with nightsticks patrolling front of polling place in Philly, PA - what this necessary??) and I am so afraid for our country.

I will never ever accept BHO as our President. Do you realize that A collectivist thug just took control of our government by cheating our system and deceiving our public? Isn't anyone genuinely appalled by Obama's history of courting and cuddling with all those Anti-American radicals? He intends to destroy capitalism and disarm our nation
when a strong and free United States is the only real hope for the entire world.

It's now up to us to oppose the coming liberal super majority using everything we have left! If we don't work diligently against this fraudulent president elect and his comrades in Congress, the Marxist vision of a worldwide revolution may finally be upon us, and that means the end for us all.

Until January 20, George Bush is still our commander in chief and real Americans are still in control of the Justice Department. It won't take long after the election for Obama and his comrades to begin to consolidate their ill-gained power by silencing dissent in the new media and mainstream media and to disarm the populace.

This means we must organize now - before they seize power! For the sake of liberty, for the sake of capitalism, for the sake of the Constitution of the United States of America and everything our founding fathers stood for. And, like it or not, for the sake of the world, we've got to fight back against them!

Read Obama's memoirs. You know what his radical friends in the Weathermen wanted to accomplish. Now that they've managed to get a man elected on the inside - with one-party ultra-liberal rule supporting him in Congress - Bill Ayers believes his wet dream of America destroyed and overrun by its enemies will come true.

Members of Congress - Pelosi, Reid, plus Barney Frank, many others and the bankers, the Federal Reserve Banks are going to bankrupt us all. You have no idea yet what's coming. It's up to us to stop it. Time for a Revolution. God help us all. Also, I am not a racist either, more concerned with our govt., the damage they're doing inside this country...so very damaging and dangerous. People just don't know it yet.

in some ways I agree with you.
I do think a lot of people see BO as their Messiah....seems like his whole campaign was more of a "movement". I think a lot of people voted for him because he promised change and because they wanted to be part of history electing the first black president.

But his so-called changes scare the heck out of me, seems like they involve us changing to socialism. Also, he has big promises for changes in Washington, but to repeat what an anchor person said this morning, "the reason Washington hasn't been changed is because Washington doesn't want change. If things change, some people in Washington will lose their power...and of course they don't want that"

So, although Obamma has big plans and promises.....let's see what his changes actually bring about for our country.

Yes, his background and associations do concern me.
I also want to say your thoughts about a revolution are not that far-fetched. The citizens of the US may one day have to go that route to get control of our government back. I think this whole bail out fiasco was proof to everyone of how little say we actually do have.

Man, I sure sound gloomy today. Actually, I hope we are both wrong about Obama and he can start the changes which will bring the US back to the great country it was meant to be.

Actually the sad sad day was yesterday. People want change and that's great. But this is NOT the change they want.

The only comfort I have right now is that he cannot act alone. The only POWER a president has is military. All the other stuff goes through Congress.

We should be afraid. VERY afraid. This is not a good move. I don't care if the man is purple - his militant, extreme thoughts are not good; not American; not right.

And will he be tested? Maybe. More than that I think he has positioned himself for martyrdom and we will be addressing the president as Mr. Biden. Another scary prospect. This election is a shambles and does absolutely nothing to make America look good or stable.

I'm very worried; but there is nothing I can do about it, so I guess I'll just have to live day by day and see what happens.

become president and the end of those horrible 8 years of Bush. All the European newspapers are backing up Obama and saying that America will get back on track, not fast but it will. and that last night they showed the real America based on freedom of color, religion and culture it should be. Guess it was a long time coming after 43 white men in office now the first time ever a minority will be in office. Maybe now the USA can get past the racial issues it has and grow. Sad thing when watching the last speech by McCain, all the boos, and McCain gave one heck of a speech and was his best throughout this election. But then when Obama spoke, not one person booed at McCains name, hmmm now what side is childish. only thing is we should not seperate ourselves we all have to pull together and make things change in the USA ,

as for the socialism..may I ask..what the $700 billion bailout was? was it not taking money from the people and putting it into these companies? So it's the same thing as taxing the 250K + earners. ALSO....Obama won by 53% of the the people making over $200K so that's HUGE. They know they will be taxed but they voted for him anyway.

I really don't think I'll be able to come to the general chat anymore when I see things in people's main posts about Obama being the Messiah for the democrats. That's totally obnoxious and rude to even say. For Christians, there is only ONE Messiah and for people to say they are Christian and then to follow up with how other perceive Obama as the "Messiah" is very very INSULTING.

My mother, who lived in a Communist country for YEARS cannot believe how people have the nerve to call Obama a communist and a socialist when they have lived in this country all their lives and have no idea what it's like to really live in a communist country. She was enraged each time the Republicans spouted that out. They have no idea..she would say over and over.

I am overjoyed that President-Elect Obama has won! :)!!

the rich will get taxed and Obama will "spread the wealth" to those less fortunate. Well at least that is what McCain was saying all these weeks. Is that right?

Fine. Then what on earth was the bailout? The government is taking money and spreading it to the companies that need it. And McCain voted for it. It wasn't just Obama. So how on earth is that different? it's the same thing but just presented in a different package.

we will not be a socialist country. Like I said..there are socialist countries in this world and we are nothing like them.

i believe obama wants to control our healthcare system, i believe he wants to control (and dimantle) our military forces, and i believe he wants ALL of our monies to speard around, not just the "rich" but the poorman's money too. i believe he wants to have control over everything and in order to do that he'll have to create a socialist government. i don't think it's impossible. i think there are lot of top democrats that want this also and they will do everything they can to accomplish it. and while doing so, they will end up killing many small business's NOT creating them.

i am afraid, very, very afraid. honestly!

now it's 200,000?

what's next? 150,000? 100,000? 50,000? 25,000?

my family doesn't fall into any of these catagories (currently) but last year my husband made over $50,000 and the THOUGHT of him having to pay even higher taxes than he did on that amount is SCARY to say the least.

First, did anyone hear the quote from Obama where he said we need a citizen militant group just as well funded and strong as our military. I find that so scary!

Second, there was a lady they interviewed on cnn after voting who said somethign to the effect of "Thank God I never thought this day would come I don't have to worry about finding money to put gas in my car, to pay my mortgage or other bills. I think many were disillusioned thinking Obama was a savior handing out cash to all.

Third, I wont' be at all surprised to see universal health care in the near future as that is one of Obama's plans and I worry as I know my dh's grandma died in Canada due to their universal healthcare.

i voted for him because he has military experience, he has economic experience, he has political experience, and because i don't think he has an "illusion" hanging over his head that he can "make it all better". he said we would HAVE to cut spending in order to start undoing the turmoil we are presently faced with and he didn't say he was going to cut taxes by as much as obama said he was. how do you think we are going to MAKE more money if we have over 1 TRILLION dollars in new spending by CUTTING taxes? i think obama will have no choice but to RAISE taxes to cover even just the 1 trillion dollars of new spending he wants, let alone to help cover the 1 trillion we JUST spent on the bailout (and yes it is 1 trillion, $700,000,000,000 plus the extra $150,000,000,000 with the add on's and the other $150,000,000,000 that is currently up for a vote.) i think a lot of people are going to be hell bent for leather trying to figure out where THEIR next meal is coming from simply because they ARE working and they ARE making more than $40,000 a year. jmho

None of us can say for certain where our new president will take us. All we know for sure is what we've been thru the past few yrs., & w/the exception of our troops continuing to try & keep us all safe, I don't think the past few yrs. have gone very well at all for our country.
I've yet to see a politician follow thru on 100% of what they promise, good or not so good, & of course, there are always going to be people unhappy about this or that president & his/her policies. It's normal. However, I think we all need to sit back for a little while, hope for the best, give it time & see what happens. ;)

president of the unoted states can suggest anything he wants but it is the congress and the senate that make the laws. president only signs them. without their support and cooperation there can be no change.

if you don't like the way something is written into law then get politcally active and make your congrecional people aware of your views. after all they are su pposed to working on your behalf.

and remember------ if you are really opposed to what he does you can vote him out in 4 years. not many other countries can do that!!!!!

I am in mourning. I was not able to sleep well last night and cannot even look at TV cuz it is all over the channels. I, like many others here, are fearful of what is to come under the Obama administration. I also see us becoming Socialist.... which scares the SH** out of me!!! I shudder at the thought that Osama Bin Laden is probably plotting something against us as I type this .... I honestly think that Obama/Biden will be tested.... up to and even including the thought that Iran may attack Israel, just to see what our reaction will be( we are allies with Israel) .... and although I admittedly voted for George Bush in 2004, I can honestly say that I have felt MUCH safer while he has been in office .... cannot say the same with a Democrat coming into office in January .....

Also, I am totally against the "Spread the Wealth" pitch by Obama. I am 43 years old, married, have 4 grown children, putting 2 of them through college, work full time, own my own home, have loans and credit cards payments, but I pay my bills in a timely fashion and yet I am considered "RICH" by the Democrats. This is Bull Sh** to me .... My husband and I have worked hard to get where we are, and I honestly feel like we are being penalized just because we are responsible and hard working. I have a major problem with Obama taxing me at a higher rate to "Spread the Wealth" and assist others..... Noone has helped me to get where I am .... just takes time and good morals/ethics.... Then, to top it all off, Obama is going to raise the amount of Social Security we have to pay each year, and in all likelihood we will never even be able to receive it in our later years!!!!

I could go on and on .... but why bother. America has decided it is time for change. I only hope they are right.

The one thing I regret about voting for George Bush in 2004 was that had I voted for Kerry, we would not be in this situation we are in now.

but no matter what you all have to say he is still the president elect and will become president unless one of the real crazies shoots him in the head like the kennedy brothers or mlk or malcolmx,

for all my life a white man won the presidency every four years. I never would have said the negative, criticial, self serving things as I have seen here and why not?

Because a person of color is NOT supposed to be president right? The entire rest of the world is wathcing this country and has always noticed the hypocrisy of going to war to support the rights of others but treating our own citizens of color like crap.

You all do not need to fear that any of that will change. People of color will still live in poverty, go to jail, die without health insurance, or access to education and fair job treatment.

It's like some say, one person cannot change it all, and no one is going to be able to improve the condition of Blacks in America so you can all stop worrying now. 70|2|Very happy w/election results, sad with all the negativity here on the board|lablover77|lablover77@comcast.net|19:05:14|11/05/2008|

My son voted for the first time this year, and very proud that his vote counted. Actually got choked up listening to Obama's speech. What a thrill. He read whatever he could, and made his informed decision on his own.
Regardless if my candidate won, or your (speaking figurativly, not to anyone in particular) candidate won, the results are in. We must all stand as one, and like it or not, give our President-Elect a chance. It is obvious that with the amount of voters, that a change needed to be made. It was beautiful to see all the young voters turn out (I worked an election day bake sale at the precinct, our school)
I read this post to find wonderful opinions for both sides. But one post stated, "I will never ever accept BHO as our President". This is not a dictatorship, this was an election. Won fairly, no hanging chads to question. I found this statement itself very sad. Statements like these actually hurt my heart. If you don't like it, leave, as in the country. Don't spread the hate. Go to a country where you don't have the choices we do. I hope that life as we know it does change, for the better. But like someone else said, it will take time to undo the damage that is already done.

that some white people will see this a reason to continue to hate and supress, doubling their efforts out of fear. And that some African Americans will use this as a catalyst to hate whites because they will feel that white people have been 'beaten' somehow, that it is the whites' turn to be supressed. (sorry, hard to put into exact words what I am trying to say....and also difficult to convey it in written word on the board so as not to sound judgemental--strictly some observations and postulation on my part). There are extremists on both ends of the issue. :( I never got that feeling from Mr. Obama himself, but I have seen some news coverage that was unsettling.
The plot to assinate him before the election was sickening to say the least, and I fear the African Americans will think the majority of white people share those extremists' views or hate. That saddens me. All in all, what I have concerns about is that unity will not be as close as we want it to be.
I have such hopes that Americans can come together over the future and issues at hand....if the presidential race was not about the color of someone's skin when it was being ran, then Obama's election into the Presidency should not be about the color of someone's skin either. I am honored to have witnessed such a historic event....I will
support my President, even if I dont always agree with him.

PS--I reread this 4 times before I hit the POST button, so I really did strive to word what I wanted to say so as not to fan any fires, lol

at a time like this and G-d knows we go thru the gamut everyday.
As a person of color I elect to be called Black since that is the worse I can be called and it doesn't bother me.

(To me the N word is about the caller and not the called, jmho)

I am awfully tired of living in a country that is blind to it's faults and self-righteious to boot but what choice do
I have? And while I may not have hope that it will get better, others may have that hope and act upon it to make it better.

I applaud all the people who do this, and acknowledge that I do not have this kind of faith anymore. If after years of adjudication
and years of turning the clocks back to jim crow times, after years of people of color being consigned to lives that are 'less' than
a person of color becomes president and suddenly the world is a scary place for whites. Welcome to the dollhouse, people of color
deal with this every day and more, going to jail for dog fights while puppy mill owners can't be found by that same fbi that found
that dog fight.

Getting shot in the back by cops in every national city for driving while Black, losing jobs on the slightest of pretexts, and
being told flat out that they will never be promoted no matter what - this was said to my face in Boston - and when the economy gets SO bad that whites start losing jobs like a Black person the race to get rid of the people that brought this about is still only a couple of points apart.. If George Bush were a Black person and Obama white the vote would habe been 90% agaainst Obama, I bet.

Blacks live in poverty and go to jail (usually with an all white jury with defendants of color, just like OJ this time around lol) at about 6 times the national average and are jobless about 4 times the average, and lets not talk about homelessness, no access to higher education, bad health and no health care, and drugs... and yes I know most of you are going to think that is what those people deserve and such, but if all were right with this country everyone would be represented in these categories according to their numbers in the population not according to the color of their skin or someone's reaction to it.

If everything operates to work against a set of people and you choose not to acknowledge that this is true what does that make you?

Does anyone on this board actually think Barack Obama is going to be able to equalize the playing field of America? 78|4|What I've been hoping.....|maraj|maraj64@hotmail.com|21:33:11|11/05/2008|

Is that since the majority of people in this country have voted for Obama, I've been hoping it's a positive sign that then means the majority of people in this country are finally looking beyond the color of a person's skin & opening up the glass walls & glass ceilings. Be it Barack Obama or had it been Hilary Clinton who was elected president, I think it's awesome that so many of us have gained enough knowledge, tolerance & acceptance to finally not be so frightened of someone in a minority group. I cried this morning when I learned Obama had won the presidency - not out of fear for the future or personal political preference but out of amazement & relief that we've actually come this far. We still have a ways yet to go but that in itself is a change we so desperately needed. :)

ETA: I wish Obama's grandmother had been here to witness & share in his victorious milestone. That really tugged at my heart because she was his inspiration.

I, along with many others I have talked to today, are in mourning...I feel like someone I loved just died! My heart sank for McCain...what a blow from a country that he loved so much and has served his whole life...I do believe he will have an awesome crown in Heaven...I have been thinking all day and have come to this realization:

#1 McCain is not my savior...that would be Jesus
#2 McCain would have been a great president, what a shame...
#3 The democrats can only blame themselves if things don't improve, with having all that control
#4 I am going to pray more...never know, but I am going to do my best to be ready for the rapture

Congrats to everyone who voted for Obama....I live in TN and am so proud we gave McCain a red state...:)

Well, I wasnt gonna post on this but after reading everything here, I kinda feel like I have to. First off, I gotta say, I was raised in the midwest and moved to the south after marrying. Man, talk about a culture shock. The racism down here is extreme, on both sides. I was never even exposed to it until I was nearly 20 years old. Im tellin you that so that you can see my stand point on what Im about to type out here. Hopefully I dont offend anybody.

I did not vote for Obama. I do not trust Obama. Color has absolutely nothing to do with that. I am basing my opinion on what I have seen and heard over the last few monthes regarding him. Now, who really heard of Obama before Oprah endorsed him? Other than the people in his area who had voted him into the Senate that is. What qualifications does he have to be the president? If you have read all the posts here, you will see many things said or done by Obama that are plain scarey, yet those who voted for him seem to ignore them, they keep going back to skin color. (No, I am not pointing anybody out on this) Dismantle the military? The one thing that stands between us and the terorrist and other people out there who hate us and want to destroy us?? Raise taxes on the hardworking EVERYDAY AMERICANS so that those who more or less sit on their butts dont have to do anything but receive yet another handout from the government? I have no problem what so ever helping our elderly, they worked hard to enjoy their golden years, but for a perfectly healthy adult no to work and expect a hand out is pitiful and shows the true direction of our country. I work hard and so does my husband, so that our family can live a good life, we're not rich, we have trouble paying our bills from time to time but we would fall into this "higher bracket" if it really does start at $42,000 like I have heard recently. I dont see why the money that I work so hard for has to be taken away and given to someone who does nothing.

I did vote for McCain. I dont trust McCain either. Again, color has absolutely nothing to do with that. But McCain does have the experience on a national level for this position. He also has a military background and would know how to defend our country. Thats why he got my vote. My dad is a Vietnam Vet, my sister is a Operation Enduring Freedom Vet and my husband & cousin and many friends are all Operation Iraqi Freedom Vets. (We are currently looking at a second tour to Iraq)

All politicians lie, all politicians are crooks. And the record breaking amount of money spent on this campaign could have been much better used, think of how much $700 million (the amount Obama spent) could have fed the hungry, gave life saving treatments to the sick, paid for the elderly to have heat this winter. I think its ridiculous that this amount of money was spent, on both sides of the line, on something like this when there is so much need in this world. And yes, the President can sign bills into law, but we all know that the congress is the ones with the real powers and Congress is the ones who make the laws 99% of the time. If you want real change, you gotta vote new people into the Congress as well as the Presidency.

Like somebody above, I read over this several times, trying to make it so my point is there without offending anybody. I know I really cant make everybody happy, but thanks to people like my Dad & husband, I, as well as you, have the right to say what we want. Im gonna hope and Pray to the Good Lord that things wont end up as bad as many are fearing.

As the daughter of a Viet Nam vet, I cannot believe I just read the above comment about McCain's military experience. It sounded as if you were blaming him for the fact that he suffered 5 1/2 years as a POW in North Vietnam. I suggest you read more information BEFORE blaming him for the aircrafts going down.

http://www.factcheck.org/askfactcheck/did_mccain_crash_five_planes_did_he.html

Quoting from the above site:

We have had numerous questions about this widely circulated claim. Some say McCain "lost" five planes, others that he "crashed" five planes. All offer this alleged "fact" as evidence that he was a bad pilot. All are incorrect.

McCain did lose two Navy aircraft while piloting them. One crash was found to be be McCain's fault, the other due to an engine failure of undetermined cause.. A third was destroyed on the deck of the carrier USS Forrestal when a missile fired accidentally from another plane hit either the plane next to McCain's or, less likely, his own aircraft, triggering a disastrous fire that killed 134 sailors and nearly killed McCain. A fourth plane was lost when he was shot down over North Vietnam on a bombing mission over Hanoi.

A fifth alleged "crash" turns out to be a misinterpretation of a flight accident that did not result in the loss of the aircraft. McCain admitted to causing that incident through "daredevil clowning" but returned safely.

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

The following article will give details of his ordeal as a POW including a picture of him in a hospital bed in Hanoi, North Vietnam, after being taken prisoner of war. I suggest you read that article & really THINK about what he went through for OUR country before making comments like that about him.

Just curious if you have been praying for our country for the last 8 years? During that time our men and women have gone off to war many dying and leaving behind families During that time our finacial structure has crumbled and our people are loosing jobs, health care and their homes Our Our social secruity is dwindleing so that many will never be able to collect it and may will have to work longer past retirement as their retirement funds have been ravished by the crumbling stock market I'd als like to know why Obama has been labled a baby killer while Pres Bush during his 8 year sin office did not get the abortion law overtuened Doesn't that make him one too?

My more personal prayers are about my family, friends and my own soul...asking for conviction(not condemnation) over the things that are un-like Christ ...and also for discernment....When I got saved about 5 yrs ago, I heard a great sermon on discernment...I prayer for that all the time...Helps me see things better for myself...

But, yes, I do prayer for our military and familes, aborted babies and many other things...Also, I do think President Bush could have tried harder on the abortion laws...I am thankful there are more bans on the partial birth....God, I just pray that they remain....

He is biracial so both whites and blacks should be happy right?
-- There shouldn't be any race issues now right?
I would think that everyone would be happy because a person of both races won!!!

History was made last night with the 1st Biracial president -- ( like it or not that is what he is.)

He is young and I am hopeful that he will be a good president but if he isn't I hope people actually open there eyes about what is going on and what politics are all about. It is not a popularity contest. Its not about race, looks, age etc. It is about who will be the best person for the job.

I'm hoping everything I read negative was not true - and I am praying he will prove everyone wrong and do a great job and turn things around.

I hope he is safe and -nothing- happens to him. I'm personally scared of Joe binden. I think he is a real nut job and I do not want to see him take office.

black, white, purple, or green, etc but I do care that the president elect won't even salute our flag or pledge allegiance to the country he is president of! And to those of you who are criticizing President Bush, please remember his incredible poise and his approval rating after 9-11. The economic woes of this country were not from him. You want economic change? Well, you may get what you've asked for with the socialist that's moving into the white house in January.

Break down of the votes:
How various demographics cast their ballots, with each figure representing 10percent of the popular vote: ( i can not post the graphs but i will post the percentages according to how is printed)

1.) age 18-29 66% Obama 31% McCain
2.) age 65+ 45% Obama 53% McCain
3.) First time voters: 69% Obama 30% McCain
4.) Hispanics 66% Obama 31% McCain
5.) African Americans: 96% Obama 4%McCain

so the majority of the young, african americans and minorities think change was good, many people even voted this election for the first time cause they also felt it was one of the most important elections in history, too bad many can not see past the color or race of one to think of this as a historical event like the rest of the world does, and keep making up false stories. Do you really think the rest of the worlds leaders are wrong that Obama is what America needs right now?

I haven't seen one post where someone said they didn't vote for Obama because of the color of his skin.
Many people have stated many reasons, all of them very valid, as to why they did not feel Obama was the right person to lead this country out of the mess we are in.
I also don't believe anyone has made up "false stories"....they are merely stating their opinions on what they have heard or read. Maybe they have heard or read something that is false, but we can blame that on the media. I'm sure none of us has the absolute total truth about either of the candidates.
And, I for one, would never make my decisions based on what the rest of the world's leaders think. They all have their own agendas, they are not concerned with what Obama will do for America, but what Obama will do for their country's place in the world.

Yes, this was a historical event for our country....but just because the winner of the election is black does not necessarily make him the right person for the job. And to say someone is racist just because they didn't vote for Obama or don't trust him is very narrow minded and immmature.

Just my opinion.
