she is about 4 or 5 weeks old(says the vet). She drags her back legs.
I took her the same day we found her to the vet because i thought she might of been hit by car and broke something. The vet said it looked like she had swimmer kitten(I had no idea what that was..but he told me it was when they push their legs out instead of using them) He wanted me to try and pick her up and encourage her to use her back legs.
well that was not working and she was still dragging them so i took her back to the vet for x rays and said he had never saw anything like her before and said we should put her to sleep or spent a bunch a money and she might continue to drag her legs. He said her backbone was only half way formed.the bones were their but only a little bit.
Now so he told me to call a neroliist( sp?) and he would discuss what we can do.
My kids have already fallen in love with her.. sometime i wonder why God gives you things in you life just to see what you will do.
she is such a sweet kitty and gets around ok she has trouble getting to the litter pan(cookie pan)
Someone say a prayer for "putt putt" that she will be healthy.

Some bratty kid dunked them into a bucket of water when they were little (at my mil house) and I fell in love with them so they came to live with us. We call them weebols and woobles. They both have brain damage and can't walk straight and woobles is just like his name. Our vet said we could have them put to sleep especially woobles cause he can't use a litter box but we won't. He goes in the same place all the time so we just have to keep on top of the cleaning and we limit what rooms he can go into. We love them and they love us. You might want to ask vet if kitty will be able to groom himself as this is a problem for woobles but our other cats help him. hopefully he won't be too expensive
My neighbors took a collection from the neighborhood so she can go get checked out.
I am hoping that he is a caring dr and not one to say "put her to sleep"
