10 0|0|Need Costume idea for my 12 yr old son ~ Help!!!|Barb1267|barb04@frontiernet.net|07:12:35|10/31/2008|

My son could not decide what he wanted to be for Halloween and I don't have the money to buy a costume so I was kind of hoping he would wear an old costume we had in the attic...unfortunately he has grown and the old costumes do not fit him...I did however find one that now fits my younger son...1 down...1 to go!

I'm looking for some quick, easy costume ideas...he does NOT like face paint, wigs, etc.
Any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks so much, Barb 1|1|johnny appleseed or farm boy (m)|lydzkydz|lydzmcss@yahoo.com|07:40:00|10/31/2008|

my boys have been him

or for farmer just don't dress him in the johnny stuff

My 4 year old is doing that again.

Old pair of pants, I shredded the bottoms, old t-shirt (skull/crossbones with marker on front), bandanna on head, eyepatch, eyeliner beard, and he could do a cardboard sword and cover with foil??

GOod luck,

Marsha

50's guy(white t-shirt rolled at sleeves jeans foled up and black dress shoes)

if you have womens clothese that fit him you can dress like a girl

old man with big but wear winter pjs and a larger size bath robe between the pjs and bath robe or inside the pjs add a pillow you can use can make a cigar from a paper sack a little baby powder in the hair for gray hair make sure he has newspaper rolled in hispocket if you have old glass thoes work great too.

the old stand by Hobo

Old women - Had old looking dress big enough to cover pillows on butts and chest old womans hats and gray hair spray cane glasses old neck laces so on. they walked a bit bent over looked the part.

A breakfeast table - cut a hole in large piece of cardboard and plastic table cloth (old sheet) big enough to go over his head to this is your table use the circle as a plate draw or paint eggs and toast on it place it in front of his face. His face is center piece use the spray colors or other holloween make up to paint him silver like a bowl, on the rest of the table glue plastic silver ware and paper cup with orange construction paper in it for juice. Since he is 14 you could make it a mad sientist table with body parts his head could be that of a cut off head so on us a long black sheet to cover his whole body.

A very large rollskate again 2 very big cardboards cut like a skate to cover both sides of his body spray painted black for boys skate. use white cloths line or twine as laces a white turtle neck as he is the sock I marked the name of the local rink on the side of the skate. Both sons won $50.00 each for the table and the skate that year at the rinks holloween skate party for best costumes.

Tv with cardboard box, foil and cloths hangers.

And a real quick costume sports player football sholder pads and helmet, base ball pat and cap mit, so on make them bloody players with fake blood and so on. Hope some of these helped you and maybe some others.

I thought I'd try the one about the dead sports player...my son is a big NY Jets fan and has the pants and jersey...only problem is he would not wear the face paint ~ Yes, he can be very stubborn at times (even on Halloween)...so he wore his Jets clothes with a Wearwolf mask...it kind of reminded me of Michael J Fox in that Teen Wearwolf movie. Anyway, he actually got alot of complements...some for the Jets...some for the scary mask...so needless to say he was happy...and so was I.

Thanks again for everyone's great ideas...now I must go hide all the candy before breakfast!!! LOL!!!!! 10|3|that was a good idea and the face mask just added to it |lydzkydz|lydzmcss@yahoo.com|07:43:54|11/01/2008|
