I have had pneumonia for a while and just went to dr, got 8 prescriptions. Where o where are those cvs Rx cards when you need them ROFL

Glennie is just recovering from kidney stone surgery and now is sick, and Dashi was diagnosed with asthma. We are ALL taking our meds - I am sharing my meds with Glennie and we are hopeful that by the end of next week we will all be well.

Why so cheerful you say? Well, I've been sick since we moved here and it is a relief to take 8 different things, even if prednisone makes me look like a hairy faced fat faced chipmunk, it makes the shadows around the eyes from allergies darker and makes you itch and makes you fat fat fat LOL; the antihistamine is strong enough to work but also in combination with the Z-pak strong enough to give crampy runs, lol, so I figure maybe that will balance the prednisone weight gain?

Anyone know the side effects of advair or pre-hfa, the new alternative to albuterol? Which I got in the liquid form for the nebulizer anyways...

So, I'm excited. Dashi gets rhinocort and singulair every day and if he gets sick like he is doing we just add pro-hfa and zyrtec. Cool, huh? To finally know what to do instead of listening to a kid struggle to breathe all night long.

And as tired as he is, I bet Glennie thinks even pneumonia is easier than kidney stones!!!

It's so great to know that we will soon be well, I was kinda bumming and thinking since we were so old that this is the way our lives were going to be, diminished, kwim? Like on madtv when they had those lowered expectations skits, ROFL

So here is hoping that everyone who has someone in the hospital gets them home soon all better, and to everyone under the weather, I hope you get well soonest, and that we all find a way to surmount these bills without doing a bankruptcy. May G_d have mercy on us all. 1|1|Sounds like you are on all the same meds my son was on for pnuemonia a few months ago....|Quietwaters|Quietwaters39@hotmail.com|23:54:42|10/30/2008|

praying you and your family have a quick recovery. Sounds like this is getting you down, and I sure could see why. Things are often overwhelming when they come in multiples. Are you also asthmatic

he is now down to the lowest dose and really has not had any side affects. It is much better than running him back and forth to the ER.

could not get to sleep due to the large number of corticosteroids I think. I feel tired AND super stimulated and my skin is itching. I used to take flovent 220 and serevent so this is new and weird to me but not so wierd if other people take it and live lol

I tried the cough syrup for the first time tonight - tussionex - and it worked within SECONDS, wow!!! I was hoping it would make me sleepy like the label said but no such luck lol

now about those birth control pills (to regulate the change, that has been killing me) but are the pills dangerous too? 4|3|I take......|Quietwaters|Quietwaters39@hotmail.com|17:37:31|10/31/2008|

prometrium for hormon replacement and love it. It is a more natural form, and less risky. I am going to change to the cream next time I see the doctor. There is a book out by a Dr. Lee, that is very helpful regarding the change.

I am sure you not sleeping has to do with all the meds.

Just wanted to post this about Singulair. It hasn't been proven yet, but I think theres something to it. My DD had been on Singulair for a few years and seemed to be more blue, more negative and all around 'out of it' during that time. She was taken off it this year and is alot better.

Just a heads up to keep your eyes out for anything unusual while he's taking this.

Thats how my daughter was, too. Also, trouble concentrating. She's been on asthma meds since she was 5 (now she's 12). Since that was the time we started school (we homeschool), I was seeing daydreaming, tiredness, grumpiness among the other symptoms mentioned earlier. Since coming off Singulair she is MUCH better. Schoolwork has improved and overall temperment is better. She's normal. I used to think "What's wrong with her", thinking it was diciplinary or maybe a concentration disorder. I did not even think it could be the medicine. I should have, in hindsight, but didn't.

You may have to convince the Doc you want him taken off. Some are not believing this is a real problem.
