Hi Everyone,
I will be on and offline today. Today is my son Matthew's 16th birthday and this is the very first birthday that I've ever been away from any of my kids. So it's a hard day for me. I still can't believe Matthew is already 16. Where does the time go? My teeth are giving me problems again too, so last night I popped two vicodins and went to bed. I was so miserable and finally fell asleep. Once we get to VA, I want to find a dental school or a dentist that will take payments and get my teeth done. They are really bad and I do need dentures. I was going to get them last year and even had my first appt. but then Will was diagnosed with cancer, so I postponed the dental stuff due to finances. Anyways I hope you all have a great day. I'm sorry about your dental problems-- know how much that can hurt because I have the same issues. I hope you can get in soon and get them all fixed up.
I don't know if you already do this or not, but one thing that has really helped me cope with pain is using warm salty (very salty) water and rinsing several times each day. I had a really bad infection brewing and was at the end of my rope with the pain and tried this and it was like magic. I thought it would hurt, but it actually made everything feel better and within a few minutes I could deal with the pain and not much long after I was pretty pain free without any other meds. It was seriously amazing. I would have never though that would have worked and I had tried every remedy I knew of and it turned out that salt made a difference.
Anyway I thought I would share the info.

I'm sorry you'll be apart from your son today but I'm sure he knows you love him & would be w/him if you could. ;)
And I hope your teeth will feel better soon. I've had a few toothaches so I truly sympathize w/you on the pain. I hope you can get them taken care of asap.

Hang in there you will be in va soon and if there is not an affordable dentures place in your town i know of a place that is pretty close to where you will be moving to so maybe you can go there and get your teeth fixed.
I'm sure Matthew knows how much you love him and you will be with him in before long when you get here to va.

I am so blessed o have such wonderful friends here. I feel like all of you are my family and I am so grateful to be surrounded by such love and support. I did talk to Matthew and he sounded really good. I just can't believe he's 16 already. I don't think I'll ever be ready for Cheyenne to turn 16. I'll be a very old lady by then. LOL. I can't wait to get back to VA, only a few days til we leave. We are all excited. My teeth are bugging me still and hopefully I can get them fixed out in VA. Hugs, Rebekka
