..the hideascan, to check further on my Gallbladder. I also am to take stool samples, so he can check for a bug or something in my intestinal tract. I told him I've been suffering same symptoms EVERY day, without fail, for 2 1/2 months solid and he agreed---it's time to dig further. He also told me to make an appt. with an OB/GYN. I'm scared, ladies.

His iron level is very low. I've had a colooscopy and the procedure itself is a breeze. Found out I have Diverticulitis and I need repeat colonoscopies. Good luck Shelly.

I'm trying to not think about it! I have to make my OB/GYN appt's. today, when it gets a bit later and office is open. I'm going to just stay busy and keep my mind occupied!! The holidays are coming and my nephew that we raised from age 14+ is back here living in IN so he & his wife and child will be here for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I'm SOOOO excited to spend time with him again! Also my older son (19) will be here for Christmas this year again....lots to look forward to!!

...hideascan until Nov 18th!! That's crazy.....by that point in time, I'll have been suffering with all this for 3 1/2 months! Ugh...who knows when the colonoscopy will be, they called late yesterday and I need to call them back to schedule.

I understand the stress of waiting. My 14 yr daughter (the one I told you had the hidascan & her gall bladder removed back in March) has been experiencing problems so her Dr sent her to Childrens hosp on Oct 13. They ordered a colonoscopy & the scope that goes down thru the esophogus (I forget the name of it) and they couldnt get her in til Nov 10!!!!!!!! Hang in there Shelly. Adding you to the prayer list. ..hidascan for Oct. 30th, providing I still need it at that point. My dr. had me take some (ahem) "specimens" to the lab today to check for an intestinal bug of some kind. IF that comes back negative, (should have results early next wk.) then I'll need to do the scan, but I don't want to jump the gun and be charged for it if I don't need it, KWIM?!
I also scheduled my annual (I am about 2-3 yrs. behind on this!!) OB/GYN appt. for Nov. 18th. The dr. that I see that day will then refer me for my (first, I know, I know----I am VERY behind on this too, since I'll be 51 yrs. old in Jan.) mammogram. Hey, at least I'm finally getting around to this. Part of the problem was I've moved 3 x in 3 yrs., and I just needed a good referral! I can ask the OB/GYN about my concerns re: Ovarian cancer symptoms.
I have the consult for the colonoscopy scheduled for the same day as the OB/GYN, and they are both in diff. cities, so that should be a very full day!!
I'll keep everyone posted on what I hear back.

It's so hard to keep your mind off of the appts. when they are schedule so far down the road. I know when I have to go for a test or some procedure, I always hope they schedule it quickly cause the waiting makes it worse.
