wow!
so it's only the cost of the ER, the CAT scan, the two drips, the two shots of codeine for the pain and maybe the cup of ice water...
oh they used some bandaids and tubing too for the IV... LOL 2|2|omg,how long was you in the ER?|angNC|memawang@embarqmail.com|22:02:43|10/20/2008|

8|1|How's he doing since surgery, Glennie....keeping him (and you!) in my thoughts and prayers....Rebekka's right, talk to the social worker at the hospital, they can help you apply for indigent care or other assistance.|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|19:21:51|10/21/2008|

"Middle age is when you choose your cereal for the fiber, not the toy." 9|1|he went to er all day, surgery done and took dashi up there tonight|glennie58|glenn_scott@alumni.ksg.harvard.edu|21:43:42|10/21/2008|

couldn't figure out what to do with him? and he wanted to see his dad
they didn't say anything and dashi ate all his graham crackers and drank his little ginger all ROFL
(he missed dinner and I wasn't savvy enough to bring him food LOL)

He is not eligible for medicaid - I could give him mine but then after a while we would both not have it lol also he would have to live with us and right now he isn't (mostly)

SO I will talk to the social worker. I appreciate all the support and kindness here, I have not been so stressed out in my life, I get that people are able to bear lots of stuff, poverty included, and I am learning... the curve is getting pretty steep though, kwim?

got dashi home after his graham cracker dinner and gotta get him to bed, hopefullly by the end of the week this will be behind us. One great thing is he parked in a H spot and left his car open he was in so much pain when he got to the ER at 6 this morning after we were up all night with the pain, and they did not tow his car, I talked to the guard and they were so nice about it (I stayed home to get dashi on the bus, and then to be here after school, and then to get back up there lol.)

Rebekka and the rest of you have my complete empathy.

One cool thing is when we left I told dashi to thank the nurses for his snack and he thanked them for taking care of his dad first and then thanked them for the snacks... boy, was I surprised, I was so stressed out I would never have thought of that not even if I was autistic too ROFL

My dh lives in fear of kidney stones. It is one of his phobias. Not that I don't have some odd ones of my own, so I dare not make fun of him for anything like that!

So sorry to hear that he was going through that and you were there all day. I hope the bill is less than you expect and they will be kind about payments. Medical bills are the worst! You just feel sick all over again when the bill arrives.

Hang in there! Vanessa 13|2|lol sick all over again when the bill comes|glennie58|glenn_scott@alumni.ksg.harvard.edu|11:49:22|10/23/2008|
