7 0|0|So disappointed in canned soup. (m)|RobinsCrazyWorld|robinmarie72@gmail.com|21:47:05|10/16/2008|

So before I had surgery I stocked up on a lot of canned goods (mainly soups, chili and refried beans) and packed mt freezer full of food as well.

Well I am not one who usually eats soups. When I do I eat this organic tomato soup from Pacific Foods that come in a carton.

So far I have had 4 cans of soup. Each one has been more disappointing the the last. Mostly the problem is it is way to salty, not tonight. Tonight I had Progresso's "light" beef stew (or something like that). Well as soon as i opened that can I could tell WHY it is "LIGHT" It is 75%+ broth! And the beef taste like beef jerky! I like beef jerky... but I don't like it in my soup!

So far I have yet to eat one full can. I am throwing away more then I am eating.

I usually make a few different soups I like from scratch, so I don't buy these products often. But if I need to buy some again, are there any actually worth buying??? 1|1|amy's organics soups are great...|noway|stormybizzles@yahoo.com|21:58:49|10/16/2008|

the light in sodium ones are even good. i really like the black bean vegetable flavor. also the new campbell's healthy soups are actually good, the ones directly competing with the Progresso light soups. and campbell's chunky healthy request chicken corn chowder soup is good. hope you find one you like! 6|2|I have th chicken corn chowder in the pantry now... Along with about 8 cans of the new healthy ones... I hope they are better then the Chunky ones i have been trying!|RobinsCrazyWorld|robinmarie72@gmail.com|23:14:00|10/16/2008|

that way I know what I am eating which tastes so much better than canned. I think most canned soups are just too salty and several of them also contains high fructose corn syrup! I don't want that crap! Anyway, homemade soup is better for you and can also freeze in individual containers too. I use my crockpot making soups and just let it cook all day. It can't get any easier than that-LOL!! Sharon:) 5|2|Thats what I usually do as well. Only went this route because I ran out of time to make the soup. That last week before surgery was just too insane!|RobinsCrazyWorld|robinmarie72@gmail.com|23:12:46|10/16/2008|

They're all pretty good, I don't know who does it for them but the cartons looks awfully like Imagine or Pacific. 4|2|I tried their version of the tomato and YUCK! I know it wasn't made by Pacific... Maybe the others will be better. They are opening a new TJs a mile from me! Yay! I LOVE shopping there!|RobinsCrazyWorld|robinmarie72@gmail.com|23:11:28|10/16/2008|
