It is highly addictive. It is compared to heroin in terms of addictiveness and the effects on the body.

But not sure if that's the one you're referring to or not.

edited to add: if that is the patch you're referring to, my husband was on it for a few years for severe back disease (he's since had a back operation to correct his disk disease and scoliosis). Anyway, when he took it, it was very effective in getting rid of the pain, but it was a heavy duty drug. He'd be nodding off in the middle of the day. When it was time for him to come off, when his pain had been fixed, he went to a detox center to get off because it's so powerful.

I have fibromyalgia and it is so painful at times. I don't do pain management, but I've used Joint Flex and it works really good, just thought I'd let you know in case you wanna try it til they figure out what they can do for you. Joint Flex is a lotion/cream type item and I've found it at Target, Kmart and Walmart. Hugs, Rebekka

...pretty well on joints. Such as knees, shoulders or elbows.

Think long and hard before starting on any hard core pain meds. They don't stop the pain-they just make you not care you are in pain. 6|1|there is also a lidocaine patch|4boysisenough4me|vixen25@msn.com|22:35:32|10/14/2008|

These doctors are so ADVANCED when it comes to controling your pain! They are up to date on the currect med's & procedures. To make a long story short, I had taken just about every pain med possible including patches but I continued to have chronic pain.

About 4 years ago, I was to the point that I could only walk about about 40 feet with my cane and then I had to stop and sit or bend over to help release the pain. In 2004 they implanted a "Neurostimulator" in my back and it has help me so much. I do recommend this if you have failed back syndrome or chronic back pain.

This is my doctor Dr. C. Mocek: http://www.spine-health.com/doctor/pain-medicine-and-management-physician/christopher-mocek-little-rock-ar

This is the stimulator that was put in: http://www.ans-medical.com/ and http://www.ans-medical.com/patient/safetyinformation.cfm
