I am still confused--
if KMart doubles up to $2, does that mean a $1 coupon doubles to a $2 limit, or does that mean that a $2 coupon doubles to a $4 limit? Can someone spell it out for me?
Also, have people taken ads to other stores? Has anyone encountered any problems with the store honoring the offer? I have a Super KMart that's 1 1/2 hours away but on the list that may be worth the drive, but I have a local regular KMart that has a history of not being coupon-friendly. Any advice?

When my Kmart doubled.....coupons doubled only up to the value of the item. If it was a $1/2 coupon... it would only double up to the value of ONE item. Example: If Suave shampoo was 1.59 and I had a coupon for $1/2...I'd have to buy 2 of them, of course, and it would only go to 1.59. This often did not make it worthwhile to use the $ off 2 coupons for me. Plus, my Kmart was REALLY out of most items...and when their delivery came in..it did not contain the items they were out of from couponers.
Best thing to do---call ahead and find out their rules!!! Do they limit the # of coupons total, do they limit the amount of "duplicate coupons", etc. I mean, if you can only use 1 of each coupon...is it worth the drive? If so...I'd say take a friend, relative, child, etc to make it more worth your while...and you BOTH check out! Also, go on the first day--EARLY!!! And be prepared for a LOOOONG day.

It was a limit of four like coupons and a total limit of 75 per person per day. Course they didn't hold to the 75 ilmit per person per day.
IF you have a smart cashier and you had a coupon that was say $1/2 suave shampoo like Amy's example When the screen came up with what item was purcahsed if they made TWO suave shampoos highlighted it DID double the coupon and not just to the max value of one item!
