I have a C-PAP machine with a triangular gel mask and I HATE it!

I just can't seem to get used to it. Anybody have a mask that they actually don't mind? 1|1|Hubby has one, he has the little nose pillows and loves it! Try switching masks|KELLYNEISH|KELLYNEISH@AOL.COM|15:24:41|10/05/2008|

It took him probably a good 3 months to get used to it. But he seems okay with it now. I still sometimes jump when I roll over and see it!!!

It did take me a little while to get used to it but now I love it. I've had it for over 1 year. However, I can only use it with the humidifier part of the c-pap. Otherwise my nose gets too dry.

She tried both masks as part of her sleep study, and while she didn't really care for either of them, she said the nose pillow one wasn't "as bad" as the other one. She's a "mouth breather" and just has general issues I think with things on her face, so it seemed like the better option.

Thanks for all the replies.

I guess I need to check out the nose pillow mask. I wonder if my insurance would let me change masks after they paid for the gel mask? I'll have to call them today.
