Beginning the first week of September, all three of my kids were sick with head colds. DD's went into a nasty infection in her lungs and needed antibiotics and prednesone to bring it under control. DS got better, with no problems. My little 3 year old, though, has had the WORST time of it. She has been sick every week for the last 4 weeks!!! She'll get better, get a little energy then BAM! fever, vomiting, sore throat for 3-4 days. It began with the head cold, but the last 3 times have been this stomach flu thing. She's got it again this weekend. To make matters worse, DS is throwing up! He came home from a party this afternoon and went straight to being sick. Good thing he came home when he did, or they would have had a awful mess.
What can I do to get these kids to feeling better?? They take vitamins, wash their hands before eating and after the bathroom. What is going on????

I work at a school and I have been very lucky not to get a cold yet this year but I think kids get sick from other kids because sooo many kids get sent to school sick when they should really be staying at home. I know times are tough and everyone needs to work but when your kids are sick they need to stay home but parents at my school thinks its ok to send there sick kids to school so all the staff and other kids get sick.
Alot of the kids also come out of the bathroom and never wash there hands and dont want to wash them before lunch I am always sending kids to wash or rewash there hands and to please put some sanitizer on.
I am amazed at how many kids that dont know about hand sanitizer or how to wash there hands good. I am actually amazed at alot of things I see at school.
Sorry for the rant but if your kids are in school which I am sure they are I think they are probably picking "yuckies" up from school
I usually up with a cold most of the winter but not bad enough for an antibiotic just border line.

Everyone here was sick with stomach flu except me. Baby really had it bad, had to take him to ER & doctor several times as he was so sick & kept trying to dehydrate. BAD flu bug!!

Had a terrible night last night! The other two kids are still laid out over this virus, but at least the vomiting stopped. My little one is feeling good. Hope she continues to feel better.
This is shaping up to be a nightmare flu season. Usually I don't get sick and I'm taking care of everyone else. This is a bad virus.

It started with my six year old not feeling well. headache, fever and then diarrhea (sp?)This has been all weekend and into today. yesterday she vomitted in the morning but hasn't since. Today just in general feeling crappy and has diarrhea, not a lot at one time now, but many, many trips to the bathroom for small amounts.
Yesterday my 14 year old didn't feel good, but it was cold/flu like symptoms, and that went on into today, then all of a sudden tonight has really bad cramps and bad diarrhea.
