I came home from the store a few days ago with my groceries in a plastic bag - I think it was white. Anyway, printed on the bag it said that this was made from recycled plastic and would disintegrate in heat, light, and water very quickly. I cannot find the bag now. But this must be a bag that will be used all over the country soon. So, you will not be able to use these bags if you plan on washing them, etc.

You can use about anything you buy that comes in a plastic bag. If you buy the jumbo packs of toliet paper like cottonelle etc, you can use the plastic the rolls come sealed in too. I have 20 pound plastic bags that rice came in, they are nice and thick and sturdy..I plan on leaving them all intact and just adding handles to them and perhaps a zipper on some.

12|3|Hey, thats helpful....how about bread bags?? If we wash and dry them, they should beok too, ya think??|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|20:52:38|10/03/2008|

Ive been buying the Green Giant Steamers frozen veggies real cheap here using the $1/1 coupons. I think i'll save the bags for this... also.. my mom as mentioned in another post on this, use to make rugs with the bread wrappers...

I noticed that recycled plastic grocery bags you get from the market to put your groceries in, fall apart when i'm trying to take them out of the car.
