City-wide rummage sales in neighboring town this wkend but some started today so I got a little head start. ;)
Here's what I bought:
2-drawer (blonde) wood, locking filing cabinet $4.50
3-ft. hard plastic Frankenstein that lights up (for outside of course & just in time for Halloween) $1
Several Amish collectible figurines (some large/some small but all ceramic) $2/all
NIP women's plus-size tights (think winter) 25¢
NIP clear plastic furniture castors 25¢
NIP figurine Dale Earnhardt #8 Christmas tree ornament $1 (gave this to my sister)
NIP Dale Earnhardt #8 1:64 diecast car & cards $1 (gave this to my sister)
Not a major haul or anything spectacular but I was pretty happy w/it all. ;) Some places were a little pricey on their stuff &/or kind of junky, imho, but I kept my opinion to myself & just moved on. ;) Most had alot of nice stuff w/very reasonable prices tho. Hope to have enough oomph to go back tomorrow. LOL

Seems like every week I cut out the yard sale listings but just drive around and never stop. I hate going alone. the friends I have here either work or never have the money and my sister can't walk well so I just dream of all stuff I probably would get.. oh once in a while if I see a bunch of people at one, i'll stop but if there's nobody there and they are sitting out there waiting and staring at you when you pull up, I won't get out.. My two girls are starting to like going but both work.. it's hit or miss some weeks... I love thrift shops though... What are some of the things you look for when you go? Do you ever have anything specific in mind or do you just wait for something to just JUMP out at you??
