I was voted PTO secretary this year and am trying to come up with "fundraiser" ideas. Our school currently does collecting of the following:
Capri Sun pouches
BTFE
Campbell's
ink cartridges
toner
cell phones
Tyson A+
Nestle water labels

Is there any that I am missing and worth participating in? Has your school collected anything that I don't have listed?

I just want to make sure I have it all covered.

Thanks in advance for any input. It is truly appreciated. 1|1|Avon does fantastic fundraisers and I think there are reps here who could give you information|tollman62|thebossatnight@yahoo.com|08:29:55|10/01/2008|

Go to: www.ezfund.com and check out the Jingle Bell shop.

Everything is sent to you on consignment. You just need some volunteers to help set up,
help the day(s) of the event and then packaging up what doesn't sell.

A suggestion: Have a bake sale and individual bakery and coffee available to purchase while
the kids are doing their holiday shopping.

Thank You

You can sell regular Avon products OR they have "Bentley the Bear" the are offering.
You can visit through my link.

Q: What kind of profit can our organization expect?
A: Depending on the total sale, an organization can receive up to 40% of what it sells. This would leave you with 10% earnings. For example, if 20 participants each sell $15 in Avon products to 10 people, total sales would equal $3,000, of which the organization would earn $1,200 and you would earn $150. (See the Earnings Opportunity Chart to see the different earnings opportunities you can offer organizations.)

Q: Why can some fund-raising companies offer us 50%?
A: A company can offer 50% when it is charging a premium for its products. For example, if you have ever bought frozen pizza or cheesecakes as a fund-raiser, you know that they were more expensive than if purchased at a store. Even candy bars sell for $1 each. With Avon, you are offering high-quality products that are priced competitively with similar products at retail. Most fund-raising companies offer up to 40%. Others offer much less! T-shirt sales, for example, often offer only 20%.

Q: What type of prize program does Avon offer?
A: In an effort to save you money, Avon Fund-Raisers do not automatically include a prize program. Understand that the cost of prizes comes out of your organization's earnings, and we want you to earn all you can. Many organizations offer group prizes-such as a pizza party or an ice cream party-for the group or class with the highest sales. You can say, "I would be happy to work with you to get those types of prizes donated to your organization. If you want to purchase prizes for top-sellers, I can show you a selection of Avon products that may work as prizes."

Q: How can we know that an Avon Fund-Raiser will be as successful as fund-raisers we have had in the past?
A: All types of organizations, from churches and schools to day care centers and sports leagues, have used Avon Fund-Raisers successfully to raise the money they need. They have found that the brand-name recognition, the Avon Guarantee and the fact that Avon has products for the entire family make for an extremely successful fund-raiser. I will work with you to duplicate your previous successes. If you have already held a successful Avon Fund-Raiser say: "The [name of organization] held an Avon Fund-Raiser last [date] and sold [total sales]. I would be happy to give you the name and phone number of the person I worked with on that fund-raiser." If this is your first Avon Fund-Raiser say: "My District Sales Manager can also provide you with the names of organizations in our area that have held successful Avon Fund-Raisers."

We tried something new in our small school (242 compared to 500 at other schools in the same district)

$1 fundraiser, taken from the PTO website.
Each student takes home a sheet, with 25 different sayings like "I can spare a dollar" or "Its just a dollar)
Ideally if 100 kids filled up the entire sheet, we would collect $2500...and nothing to deliver.
Of course, we only ran it 1 week, and had only 7 kids complete the entire sheet.

We ran 2 contests. Complete sheet enters you into a drawing for a basket of Webkinz stuff (3 webkinz, mousepad, bookmarks, etc)
If you only collected $1, you would go into a drawing for a single Webkinz.

We started this on a Wednesday, and finished the following Thursday. (gives you time for forgetters) We collected $422. Not too bad, and it was fun. After paying for the webkinz, we still made $350 in a week.

DO NOT FORGET BOXTOPS!! We run montly box top competitions!

HTH - email me direct for more info, or a copy of our sheet.
