I was checking some of the labels on certain foods and noticed that the smaller store-brands of canned mushrooms come from China...then I checked a couple of "name Brand"...they are imported from Canada...uh...and where do they get them?
I was surprised that mushrooms aren't grown or processed in the USA...and maybe it's just my narrow scope of stores...Meijer and Kroger.
Is it only my small observations or do you see any (that don't cost more than meat)...that aren't from other countries, including China..?

I buy Green Giant canned mushrooms at Sam's--cheapest place I've found so far, and they say that they are from Indonesia.
My husband is originally from PA, and he says they have huge mushroom farms near where he's from, but they usually go to fresh mushrooms, though. You DON'T want to know how they are grown! LOL!
Haven't seen any from China, though.
