I am trying to expand my listings to make more money on ebay. I bought some cosmetics on clearance and I was going to list them on ebay. I started listing them today, and when I got to my 5th item, I get a message saying something to the effect: You have reached your limit of items you may list for this brand. In an attempt to protect ebay and its buyers, there is a limit of items you may sell at one time for certain brands. Please do not attempt to relist another item for 30 days. WHAT????? I only listed 5 items - I've got another 40 items sitting here waiting to be listed! I can't afford to sit on this stuff for 30, 60, 90 days! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
I am completely PO'd! It's bad enough the fees they charge us little operators, but now this? Recently I've gotten "warnings" when I'm listing telling me that some dog food has been recalled, and I should double check that I'm not selling something recalled. I've also got warnings that my postage was too much. What? I was using a flat rate box and was charging $8.90, the exact price of the postage. Ebay thinks they are the product police now!
Had to vent this, grrrrrr, but I don't feel any better.

I've listed 11 items, and now it refuses to let me list more. I contacted Live Help and the woman told me that because I listed items that are more likely to be counterfeited, limits have been placed on my account. What???? I listed some Sephora makeup... I've never heard of anyone selling counterfeit makeup. Ughhhh. She said that she forwarded my info to the trust department for further investigation....yeah, right, I've dealt with the trust department before and all they do is send you a form letter.
I am so mad and frustrated I could cry.

If you sell on ebay they now require you to accept all types of paypal payments(if you accept paypal)...she is having to upgrade her account and start getting charged fees on any payments she ever gets...crazy if you ask me.... 11|2|I have never listed anything at eBay and am not a buyer there either except for twice, in which I then went to the seller's store site and purchased through there, not ebay. I haven't sold in over a year because the last thing I listed was some Merle Norman cosmetics for my mother. They were brand spanking new and un-used since she "over bought" and then changed colors when they talked her into a makeover and then wouldn't take back what she "over bought".
I got put on "probation"! Ebays letter to me said for selling "illegal drugs"!
I guess from what I have gathered and from 2 emails from other sellers that this same thing happend to that Merle Norman has their lawyers out there doing nothing but crusing ebay for people selling their products. Since they say you have to be an "authorized" seller and can not "resell" they have somehow gotten ebay to add their products to the "illegal and prohibited" list which ebay puts in the "illegal drug" category!
I'm still steamed over this and haven't sold since. Plus fees and the feedback thing just added fuel to the fire for me!
Best of luck to ya if you continue to sell. I've just had better luck with yard sale or stockpile sales.

I think this might be a way to force me to buy a store from them (?).....I mean, I'm sure they get pressure from companies like Chanel or Dior when it comes to counterfeits being sold, but Sephora?
I can't list ANYTHING now - it's blocking everything, even things that are not Sephora related. I don't need this setback...grr
