we were just at the hospital 2 wks ago for 18 hours...now back again early this morning, he has phnemona and his body was rejecting the meds the doc percribed to him...no inusrance so this should be fun!! been up all night no sleep amd gonna go rest now before i head back to see him..

They have him hooked up to iv's and gave him the 2nd bag of anibiotic while I was there, will keep it going for the night. Wishing there was some preventive care for his rare medical condition, but there isn't. I will most likely be more boughts of phnemona in the future...I am use it by now, as he has had this condition since birth, just breaks my heart to see him in pain and rushing him to ER at least 1 or 2 times a year. I applied for public aide 2 wks ago for a medical card for him...just waiting to hear back from them. Gonna try to talk to someone about his antibiotic that will be sent home, it costs $100 and I don't have it, gonna ask them if they can give me sample packs from the pharmacutical companys for him. For anyone here who has a medical condition from birth,or is sick in general my heart goes out to you, I am one person in millions without medical and praying universal healthcare will pass through, we all could use it!

they had someone come up from billing and gave robert a bunch of forms to fill out before I got to the hosptial, he called me to lmk, and I have to go take pay check stubs, birth certificate etc for them to make copys of. Hopefully they will help out with the bill. talked to the doctor and he will be in a couple more days, he said he counted the scarring in roberts lungs and he has had phnemonia 11 times..he said too many times for such a young person, so I am thinking he should have no problem getting disability now, as we will have that on record also. I am filling out the forms tonight and taking them to the hospital tomarrow..

He's in my prayers today. I sure hope that they can help him get that debt covered as I know how expensive it is.
Ask one of the nurses if they have a social worker or someone who can talk to you about community resources for uninsured people so that you can line up some funding to help cover any meds he comes home on.
