When we went to church a few weeks ago, one of the kids there was coughing and Cheyenne said he never covers his mouth, so she may have caught the cold from him. ..those people were never going to pay me more than $7/hr., and though they called it Paralegal work, it was really glorified "collections"....
Long story short, I really liked my immediate supervisor (co-worker), as long as it was just the two of us in the office I would have stayed. The owner was a crabby old man who growled at eveyone all day, bad-mouthed all of his employees behind their backs and never once complimented me on a good job in the entire time I was there.
He WOULD though, nit-pick on the PETTIEST things I managed to do wrong and then point them out in front of other people, which was very humiliating to me.
I finally quit . They offered NO pd. holidays, NO pd. vacation days, NO health, vision or dental benefits (I'm covered under Ron anyway), and classified all of us as "subcontractors" so they didn't pay into our Social Security or pay ANY of our taxes for us, but they would NOT pay subcontractor's wages!!!
I'm sorta looking for something else, but taking my time. I have enough with child support for the next 2 yrs. to get by, since I don't have a mortgage here. Ron & I split the monthly household expenses, so things are pretty comfortable. I wasn't clearing ANYTHING, *seriously*, after paying for gasoline, my taxes, my health premium each mo., from that job.....so it was kinda a no-brainer. I maybe brought home $75/wk. after being out of the house for 35 hrs/wk.!!!

I don't blame ya for quitting. It didn't sound like it was worth your time either. I'm glad to hear you all are doing good and it's probably for the best to just take your time and find the job you really want. I wish you the best girlie and I'm always glad to hear from you. Hugs, Rebekka
