I just need to vent here...there is this one woman at work, the executive secretary to the CEO. She really has it out for me, for no apparent reason. I am not allowed to give her letters to have the CEO sign them... someone "in a higher position" than me has to do it. I'm not good enough to bring a stupid folder of letters over.
Now today there was a small mistake on a report and it was totally my fault, and I was fixing it but she marched in and started telling my supervisor how incompetent I am. This is about 1 minute after she alerted me to the problem, and I was working on fixing it as she did that. My supervisor is supportive, but everyday it's something. I swear she just has it out for me for no reason.
There's no reason for this, I haven't done anything to this woman, I don't even have a reason to interact with her. Why would she just be sooooo nasty to me? What is she getting out of it? Argh.
I really need to grow a thicker skin, but jeez. I actually shouldn't have to deal with this at all. I've been nothing but professional and friendly to her....
Yuck. Anyway. Thank you for letting me vent.

If your super knows about all of what has been going on, is he/she ok with your job performance? If so, then ask that person to intervene for you either with the woman or her boss.
YUou should not have to constantly be run down. Everyone (including the woman) makes a mistake now and then.

Yes, my supervisor knows and is backing me up. She's very happy with how I've been doing. I have my review coming up next week, and I am going to bring this up. It's the one part of this job I really hate, dealing with this woman.
Hopefully she'll retire soon. : )
