I live in apartments and lots of the roofs were torn off, bricks from the building torn off, trees down, etc.  The worse part is that we have no meat, dairy, ice, and gas is extremely hard to find.  There are FEMA pods in certain locations but the lines are ridiculously long and you have to have lots of gas to wait in those lines.<P>I had a dear friend of mine send me some paypal yesterday so we could get some gas but we ended up using what I put to go find food.  There are very few stores acceping anything but cash so we traveled around looking for stores that had the registers up.<P>Please pray for us, especially the Galveston area. I do see UPS trucks, though.<P>I have power, luckily, but most of the people around us don't.  We are supposed to boil water before using it but I stocked up on bottled water before we evacuated so that's ok. Gas is getting easier to get but you still have to wait in line for atleast a hour.  We had 11 tornadoes hit our town so it will be several days (if not weeks) before we get power back.  We only had minor damage put others have lost their homes due to falling trees. I've been here since early Thursday morning. Going a little batty though - I want to go home. There's still no power in our neighborhood. A neighbor told me that my house has roof damage, but he put a tarp over it. I definitely feel luckier than many.

He lives 5 mins up the road.  Mail delivery started back up today...wooohooo!  No waiting for gas if we go to the next town.  FEMA is rearing their head now.
