Hi, the holidays are almost here and since i'm dealing with a bad back this year, I want to still be able to make goodies for Christmas but in less time.. I remember loads of ideas using cake mixes for cookies, candies, and other desserts... does anyone have any or know where I can locate some recipies on here? THANKS FOR ANY HELP hugs..

The brownies and push it down. So it's like brownies with cookie chunks. Super sweet and easy! I took it to my sister in laws and we all loved it!

Last week I bought a bunch of cake mixes from Walmart marked down to only .40 each and the frosting was .50 each.. They were the Walmart brands.. :)

Cake Mix Cookies
1 (18 ounce) box cake mix, unprepared (any flavor)
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs
Mix all ingredients well to remove lumps.
Stir in raisins and/or nuts and/or chocolate chips if you so desire.
Drop by teaspoonfuls on an ungreased baking sheet about 2-inches apart.
Bake at 350°F for 8-10 minutes.
My SIL has made all kinds of these....she has used yellow, chocolate, german chocolate, carrot cake, spice cake, orange, lemon cake mixes...she frosts them to compliment whatever kind she makes. Yellow cake mix cookies with chocolate frosting, German chocolate cake mix cookies with vanilla frosting, spice cake or carrot cake mix cookies with cream cheese frosting, etc...get creative! :) She will also add sprinkles for the holidays, and these freeze really well!

My two favorites are:
Pumpkin dump cake
Make pumpkin pie filling out of canned pumpkin following the can directions or your favorite recipe.
Pour into a 9X13 pan (sprayed with nonstick spray). Sprinkle a box of DRY yellow cake mix on top.
Put 8-10 pats of butter or margarine on top of the DRY cake mix, put them a few inches apart all over the surface.
Bake at 350 until golden brown and the pumpkin is set but still a little jiggly (like you would for a pumpkin pie).
Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream,or serve cool. :)
Cherry Dump Cake
Mix together 1 can cherry pie filling and 1 can of well-drained crushed pineapple (OR you can just use 2 cans of cherry pie filling if you prefer)
Same directions as above....this is to DIE FOR served warm with vanilla ice cream!
You can use any pie filling...another good one is apple or peach pie filling with a spice cake mix on top. :)
