Scarey is all i have to say.. We have trees down every where, my neighbor hood is a wreck. We had a tree part fall on our car, thank God it only made some scratches, no major damage. My yard is a mess, my neighbor across the street had a tree fall through his master bedroom, neighbor next door to me had a tree fall on his house, my husband hasnt climbed on our roof yet to see if there is any damage there. So not sure there. Power is out all over here in shivley, but my mom does have power. :) I had to email all my ebay buyers to let them know it would be a few days before i can ship their packages, as soon as we get power. Its a big mess in my area, never have seen it this bad before. Worst yet. Ike was horrible, and to imagine people in texas that decided to ride it out?? Man, i didnt want to ride out this one, and this was nothing compaired to them. Alot of wind...no rain at all.
Big tree limb came down over the back fence (again) from neighbor's mulberry tree behind us. But we are one of the lucky ones---we got our power back on!!! My sister is in Crestwood and says that the whole city is still blacked out. She lost a big tree and plenty of shingles not to mention the contents of her FRIDGES and FREEZERS...we haven't looked at the roof yet...but we need to!!
My insurance agent is in Crestwood...so I figure filing a claim won't help any till they have power...LOL. Which gives us time to check on the roof. :) Kinda weird to have Walmart close and send people home---but they lost electricity like everyone else. Tina is over near there---so not sure if she's back on the grid or not. 4|2|Here in Mayfield.. Edited to add- dropped my daughter off at work at 4pm and they had no power (a video store)...
she had to work til 11:30pm in the dark, hand writing down all the dvd turn ins.. no power to
put in the computor.. so in the dark with dvd's piling up..

that is......we cleaned up after the wind stopped.....we have 2 large trees down in our yard...limbs everywhere...part of shingles off the roof.....all up and down our road everyone has down trees..power poles snapped in half.....in princeton..some of the power is still off.....my son lives between dawson and madisonville...their power is off....and they were told it will be off 3 to 4 days..... no school here today 6|1|I just got in from cleaning some of our yard started at 9am its 2:26 now. I am sore all over lol no excersie bike or treadmill today lol. I am so sorry for all the problems but the good thing is no one is hurt. I know alot are on the state of emergency like me in lyon county. Are kids had school today which the mail lady could not understand because she had a hard time getting around she says all around the lake is a mess. Kids were out of school today and already calling tomorrow off as well. We had to clean out the fridge today and lucky my mom still has power, so we moved our deep freezer into her garage so we dont loose all our frozen foods. :( Just stinks because we take electricity for granted. And its hard with no school being in, no power and we have to run our lives like nothing is going on... Going to work, etc. Plus making sure the kids are intertained and not so bored. I have to go to my moms just to charge cell phones etc. But dont want to use the phones, because we only have so many minutes. And we diffently dont need a huge cell phone bill right now. Our neighborhood is still a mess, not even been touched today. Still have down trees on homes and across power lines. Who would ever have thought it would of been like this??
