My son got his 1st job today. He is 13 and very mature for his age anyways were we live there is a corn maze and pumpkin patch in the fall and he asked me if he could see if he could get a job there and I said sure why not so he spoke to the man yesterday that owns it and he said to call his wife so my son did and left a message and she didnt call back so tonight when we were on our way home from petco he said do you think its ok if I call again I said sure so he called and got to speak to the lady and he gets to meet with the man and woman on Wednesday and gets to start work next Saturday. Next weekend he will be helping rope off parts of the corn maze and unloading some of the pumpkins and then once the place opens which is Sept 20th he will be helping direct traffic and doing a few other things at this place. he doesnt know how much he will make and said he didnt care he just wanted a job to earn himself some money so I'm so proud of him. Just had to share. Thanks for listening

That is awesome...I know you must be so proud...My son Matthew got a busboy job last year when he was 15 but had to quit when he moved to his bio father's house in VA...I was so proud of him wanting to work and even the manager said they hated to lose him cause he was their best worker...Hugs, Rebekka

He is very excited. I said you do know that you have to keep your grades up in school or you have to stop working he didnt like that but that is the rule and that is what we will be telling the people on Thursday when we meet with them. He will beable to walk to work because the corn maze is right near our house and he can walk down our drive way to the end and cross over a little bridge and be at the corn maze its actually all on the same property that we live on.
