Do any of you use the MyPoints tool bar that shows your total current points and you can do searches and get points for each search? My computer has been extrememly slow lately, and DH said this tool bar is slowing it down. I did a Norton virus scan last night, and there weren't any viruses, so it's not that...

...but started having problems with my computer. I have since deleted the tool bar but my system has never been the same. My internet constantly needs to shut down...always wants to send another error report...and I just don't know what to do. I'm not sure if it had anything to do with the My Points tool bar or not...but I did start having problems shortly after I installed it.

It is in the tools section of your browser - not in the traditional add/remove programs that you find in you PC's control panel or "My computer" incase that was where you were trying to find it.
In your browser click Tools, then add-ons, in Firefox you will see it in the window that opens then click uninstall, in Internet explore it's tools, then manage add-ons, then enable/disable add-ons then it will be in the window that appears.

I also just installed the MyPoints toolbar, about a week ago...
And my laptop which is usually running perfectly fine slowed to a crawl and started having issues with loading new pages that I'd click on. So having more than just one initial page open was just too much for my laptop to handle. I also ran various spyware and virus-ware programs and cleaned everything up on the computer, including compressing files, defrag. harddrive, etc. etc. but it still crawled with the Toolbar running... So yesterday I decided to move the pointer up and left click in the MyPoints toolbar area and close the little sucker! Ta-Da! It's perfectly fine now and running as faithful as always (as long as I dont open up the MyPoints toolbar!)...
I also decided that after using it for a week and seeing absolutely no difference in my Pending points or my Actual points that it simply was not worth it... I mean, I couldn't complete any of these offers with the toolbar running anyway because it would just crash... so for me, I'm better off without it.

If you even remember how long ago it was that you installed it. That way you know for sure (I think) that it undid everything related to the toolbar.
I do that sometimes when I suddenly have a problem and I can't relate it to a particular action that I did - I just restore the computer back to the last day that I remember it acting normally.

Also, check your processes (Windows task manager) as many unncessary programs run in the background and bog down your system. Speaking of which, there's some in mine I need to ask hubby about.
