Hi everyone! I am so excited to get started tomorrow. I am trying to drink all my Dr. Pepper tonight so that I wont be tempted with it anymore! LOL! Anyway, I am Amy, a SAHM to Nicholas ( 4.5), Gregory (2) and Jamison (3 months). I have about 40 lbs to lose. I want to get down to about 10 lbs below my prepregnancy weight with my first. I was 145 when I got pregnant with Nicholas, and I think 135 would be perfect for my height and build. My goal is size 8. I will be doing Weight Watchers Flex Points. I will try to post my journal daily. After I drop Nicholas off at preschool in the morning, I am gonna take the other two boys and go to Target to get a scale. I am still up in the air about my exercise program, since I don't belong to a gym. I am going to try to get into one next week that has child care available. My husband is Jeff, he is currently deployed, but is due back in about 3 weeks. He is very supportive of this and will be my exercise partner when he gets home. I will be allowed 22 points per day, with 35 flex points per week that I can add where ever I want to. I can also earn points to use each day based on my exercise. I am so glad I saw the post about this! I usually only hang out on the bargains board, only occasionally on the coupons board. Can't wait to get to know you all!!

Hi,

I am also very excited about this, and got off to a great start this morning. Of course it is Monday, and things always look hopefull on Monday. Got my walk in first thing.

I am a SAHM of 4, 2 girls and 2 boys, ranging from 6 to 21. I have been married for 22 years and counting.

I have been carrying this extra weight for the last 7 years, and it has just continued to creep up, I am at my alltime high. I am hoping to get back to 128, which is were I was when I turned 30. Because I have a lot to lose and have not lost in awhile I am setting my 12 week goal at 30 pounds. My plan is to do the diabetic exchange diet, ( I am not diabetic but well on my way). I plan to drink my water, which I struggle with, but know helps greatly. I also am planning on walking 3 miles 5 days a week, I have done this before and find it doable. When I can't get outside I use on of Leslie Sansones tapes, Walk the Walk.

Well in brief here is my story. :>)

I am a 29 year old SAHM of 3 children. Haleigh 8, Logan 3, and Luke 6 months. I have been married to my dear hubby for 10 years this May. He is a surgical RN and he also does service work for our payphone business we own. We live in Mississippi. After having Logan I never lost my pregnancy weight and then after having Luke still have not lost it. I gained over 70 pounds with each pregnancy. When Haleigh was about 3 years old we went to Maui and I knew I wanted to loose the weight. So I worked hard and looked great....Well I am a whopping 185 now and need to be around 135 to 140. I am hoping that I will be able to loose at least half this 12 week period.
Haleigh goes to school. But my 2 boys are here with me. I have not been able to keep on a schedule with the boys. It seems they nap at different times if they do nap at all. I would like to get them on a schedule so I can exercise.
Today I was busy doing house chores all morning and preparing a meal to take this evening to a couple that had a baby. So I have not had a chance to exercise yet. I hope when DH gets home he can watch the kids and I can. But I have done pretty good drinking my water. :)
I am not doing any strict diet. I am cutting back on portions and sugar. I'll probaby do lean cuisine for lunch everyday because they are so easy.

I'm Tammy. I'm a SAHM to Victoria, 18 mo, and Katherine, 11yrs.
Before Katherine I was 110 lbs, which, with my 5'11" frame I looked sick. Now I'm begging to be close to that( well, realistically at least 170). I'm now at 220 lbs...!!!!!!!!!
I guess you could say I'm an emotional eater. But my thinking is..if its not in the house, I can't eat it. Before Victoria I worked anywhere from 70-80hrs a wk, never home. and now I'm doing the complete opposite. I will be starting tomorrow walking 1 mile everyday, just to get back up to speed.

Well, I guess that's it for now...can't wait to start this!!!!!

Tammy-Glad you posted. Have you decided on what exercising and eating program you will do. I am just winging it myself. I know I have to cut my sugar and portion sizes. Getting the exercise in is hard with 2 little ones at home with me.

Yesterday didn't go as well as I hoped. I didn't get to exercise. I ended the day with a killer headache. Today I feel much better but got little sleep. The baby isn't sleeping well at all. I promise myself today I would get it all in. I did drink 6 glasses of water , for me is alot!! I am breastfeeding and should be drinking it anyway. I am trying not to weigh again until at least friday :)

for me until the night time munchies hit. I was good though and went for the pretzels instead of the icecream. I wasn't able to walk first thing this morning, I find if I don't do it first thing, then I tend to not make time for it later in the day. But today I made myself get it in. Like Mona I am also trying to stay away from the scale. I thought I would try to weigh each Monday.

Quietwaters: I do well during the day but I get the munchies too. I am trying to break habits of eating in front of tv and while on the computer. I did get some good exercise today. I did about 30 minutes of aerobics with a tape(it was 55 minutes long but I couldn't finish it) went outside and played with son on trampoline then when dh got home I put on my hiking boots and put baby in baby bjorn carrier and we went for a stroll in the woods(we have like 80 acres of land). So considering I was carrying an extra 20 pounds with the baby I had to burn some calories. I did have a few bites of cake I made but I didn't eat too much. I was just craving a sweet. I am allotted 22 points per day. Yesterday I used 21 and didn't feel starved! I couldn't resist the temptation to step on the scale this morning though! LOL! AND......... down 1.5 lbs since yesterday morning! Woohoo!!! NOrmally MOnday will be my weigh in day though. I am getting pretty hungry now though. I still have 17 points left because I didnt have time for breakfast this morning. I am the secretary of our local MOMS Club and we had our monthly meeting this morning. I hope everyone else is doing GREAT! We can do this!!

Hi Ladies!

I'm Jamie. I'm 25 and engaged to be married in June of this year. I don't have too high of expectations to be a certain size before the wedding, but I would most certainly like to get down at least 1 size/15 pounds by then. I don't want to get my hopes up prematurely and then be let down if I don't meet those goals.

I graduated from college 3 years ago, and now I suffer from the dreaded cubicle butt! I've gained around 32 lbs in the last 3 years.

My current weight is 166 (the highest I've ever been), and my target weight is 130. I think that's reasonable for now.

I'm a member of Curves. They recommend going 3 times a week, but I'm shooting for 4. They weigh and measure monthly, so I'll post my new figures next month on the 7th. I've already gone twice this week.

As far as cutting out food, I'm trying to wean myself away from my beloved Dr. Pepper and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups! I had SO much water today, that I felt like I was about to float away. I wore out a path between my cube and the bathroom. LOL

I look forward to keeping up with all of you!!!

My first 3 days went great, got my 3 miles in each day, stuck to my plan except the water. Yesterday though my dad who has been in the hosp for 3 weeks took a bad turn. I am his gaurdian. I spent the day in the ICU with him, the only walking I got in was walking the halls. At least though I didn't eat every thing in site, I only ate an apple and a high protein bar, I know that can back fire though. I am down 7 pounds as of this morning. How is every one else doing. Not the best way to lose weight, hanging out at the hospital. I have been taking good stuff with me to eat and eating only that. Managed to walk 11 miles of my planned 15. Look forward to hearing what is going on with everyone else. Wow you are doing great! First week and you lost 7 pounds.
Sorry to hear about your dad. Will keep him in my prayers.

My first week didn't go so well. I sorta pigged out a few days. Didn't get my exercise in either. One day I exercised.....we had a bday party saturday to go to. So I had cake and pizza.

Hopefully I will make up for it this week.
DD is out of school today and it is freezing outside. SO not much going on today. I will email everyone with the names and addresses if I can today.

Hang in there ladies.

Oh, I will start a new header for this week.
