It's been a confusing and very stressful week!
Jan 1, Thu - Caught the flu
Jan 2, Fri - Didn't go to work; daughter caught flu from me
Jan 4, Sun - Hubby caught flu from me
Jan 5-6, Mon-Tue - Didn't go to work, too weak and dizzy
Jan 7, Wed AM - I was a little better but daughter worsened. I called work to tell them I can't go back to work, hubby and daughter too sick.
Jan 7, Wed PM - Boss called me at home. Put me on forced leave without pay for the next 2 weeks. Threatened to fire me.
Jan 7, Wed PM - Called 2 companies which I know had openings. I was hired by both on the spot and over the phone!
Jan 8, Thu - Tried to reason with boss to reverse forced leave. No dice. Hinted that I'll be laid off eventually.
Jan 9, Fri - Accepted new job at other company. Went to old job to resign.
Jan 11, Sun - Today is my orientation day at my new job.
